Mondays...😅
Sometimes after the weekend it can be difficult to get back in to exercising.
However, Monday is the most important day. So even if you aren't feeling it...try and get a session done
Yes, it might be a hard session. But once you're done you will feel SO much better for it
Plus, it sets you up for a good week ✅

5 Things You SHOULD Be Tracking
1️⃣ Track nutrition > Consume more calories than you burn and you won't lose weight!
2️⃣ Track your workouts > Aim to get faster and stronger every week!
3️⃣ Track your daily activity > A great way to burn extra calories
4️⃣ Track your bodyweight > This will fluctuate, but generally speaking its a great measure of progress
5️⃣ Track your body measurements > Even if you don't see a big difference on the scales, you should see it here!

Look - stuff is gonna happen. Things won't go according to plan.
You'll plan to wake up at 6am to fit in a 20 minute workout and then the baby wakes up early.
You'll workout at home but then the in-laws pop in for an unexpected visit.
You'll workout but then...
Almost every day will have a "but then" moment. Be flexible. Not every workout is going to be a great workout - and that's okay. That's not the purpose. The purpose is to continually show up for yourself and do the best you can in that moment.
If you have to cut it short - that's okay. If you have to move it to tomorrow - that's okay. If you have to include the kids during - that's okay.
Look for ways to make it work instead of just giving in to the unpredictability.
Make adjustments and modifications. Just find a way to show up anyhow.
Because if we are always waiting for the perfect opportunity, we’re never going to do it.
Knowing what your life is like - how can you be flexible with your workouts?

Realistic goals!!
The key to success 🔑
Setting unrealistic or unachievable goals often lead to failure
You see, people don't achieve them and then they become demoralised and give up
My tip?
Set small, achievable goals

5 Ways To Stay Motivated
1️⃣ Set Fitness Goals
Aim to complete a running event or to lose two inches from your waist. BUT, be realistic!
2️⃣ Create a Plan
This will give you a daily goal, even if that is sometimes just telling you to rest. A structured plan will always increase your motivation and your chance of success.
3️⃣ Don't Overtrain
It’s tempting to really launch yourself at the gym, but if you do, there’s a real risk you will quickly become disinterested or injure yourself. Follow a structured, realistic routine.
4️⃣ Record Your Progress
Keeping a training schedule, logbook or diary of your exercise. This will keep you focused on the task in hand and keep you motivated.
5️⃣ Go Shopping For New Gym Gear
Treat yourself. It's such good motivation when you feel great in your exercise gear to maintain motivation and performance.

There will be days when you just don't want to show up 🤷♀️
Days when your body just says no 🙅♂️
You're likely to fall off track now and then 🛤
Because you're only human 🙏
What's important is how you recover and get back into your routine 😇

It can be super hard to stay on track at the weekends 🤯
My advice?
1. Plan your meals- we can end up going off track when we have to buy lunch from the nearest petrol station or work canteen 😫
2. Drink more water and try to stay consistent. Just because it is the weekend it doesn't mean you can suddenly eat 3 takeaways 🤣
3. If you're worried about over-eating at an event, eat before you go!
BUT...
Enjoy yourself! If you want to enjoy a nice meal out. That is absolutely fine. It's important to treat yourself now and again but just don't let it roll on for days and undo the weeks of hard work.
