This weekend was a busy one at Academy HQ with our u11s team in Northern Counties Rink Hockey Association Matchday 2 League action at our home tournament. The team equipped themselves well and although they did not win a game on the day, they put in much improved performances. We also celebrated the debut for Naom on the day, who played his first games for the Academy.
The team were backed by many of our Cadets from the u13s and u15s who provided much needed vocal support during the tournament and also helped out with rink preparation and Time Desk support. Big thanks to our parents helpers who kept the show on the road with timkeeping, Reffing and PA annoucements and special thanks to Paddy for organising the 50/50 raffle which brought needed funds for the Academy !!
Last but not least a massive well done to our 5 Cadets who attended ERH National Academy training on Sat 3rd Oct in Peterborough - Great work, the Academy are so proud of you all !!

The Academy u11s opened their season in the Manchester home tournament with 3 battling defeats against much stronger opposition.
We had not one but two players in the team making their Academy debuts, so well done Stanley and Freya !! Well done also goes to Marcie who played 3 full games in goal and managed to save 2 penalties in the process - Excellent work, Marcie !!
Also, making their debut was Ewan who took to the middle as our Referee for the first time, thanks and well done for stepping up. Big THANKS to our coaches and helpers on the day, as always your help and commitment is very much appreciated.

The Academy u13s and u15s teams got off to a cracking start to the season with 3 wins out of 4 games in Manchester at the weekend.
First up were the u15s with a win against Grimsby Roller Hockey Club, then losing out to Manchester Roller Hockey Club.
Then the u13s had two straight wins on Sunday against Grimsby and M'Boro Whites which leave the Academy u13s sitting on top of the league for the first time EVER (albeit by goal difference) !!
Well done to all the players keep up all your hard work, as it's starting to pay off !!
Also, big THANKS to our off-rink team of Coaches, Team Managers, drivers and helper who make all of the happen. 😁👍

Thanks go to Coach Evie who had the difficult task of pulling the team together to deliver 2 excellent performances on the day ... Well done everyone !!

The Academy u11s team found themselves of the wrong side of a tight Cup game with our cross-city rivals. A classic cup match where the lead swapped a few times as each team tried to gain an advantage and it wasn't until the last couple of minutes that a bit of daylight was made between the two teams.
An excellent performance Academy - Well done !! 💙❤️💙❤️💙
