Hillsborough Pump Track

We had a great session at the pump track today with our friends from Trash Free Trails

Great to see the community helping keep the track clean, with over 300 pieces of litter collected. We checked over 4 bikes with free bike checks too.

We will be announcing the dates of April and May jams, where we will be including a litter pick as part of the jam, we will announce the dates in the next few days so keep an eye out on our socials

Summer is rough on the track so let’s get it reyt tidy. We’ll also have a bike check station so as a thank you we’ll fettle your ride back to smooth quietness.

Awesome stuff, All the HPT team are super proud of Adam, a great achievement 👏👏

🏆 Access Sport National Young Leader of the Year…. local rider and volunteer at Hillsborough Pump Track….Adam ⭐️

Yesterday Adam travelled to Chelsea London to receive his award with Coach and Mentor, Access Sport Cycling Delivery Manager - Sheffield, Libby Hawkins.

Over the last 2 years Adam has dedicated his time and effort to self-development and his community. With Access sports support, Adam became empowered to learn new skills and grow in confidence. Now 2 years on, has overcome his speech stammer (giving a fantastic speech infront of hundreds of people) and is a qualified British cycling BMX coach supporting our half term coaching sessions and regular club jams.

Adam also at the beginning of this month became the new Hillsborough Pump Track Chairperson and youngest in its club history at just 20 years of age.

Showing the transformative benefits of sport and that anything is possible with the support of community. Adam is a role model to other young riders in Hillsborough and Sheffield.

Sheffield City Council, in partnership with Access Sport, has been working alongside the Friends of Concord Park and Woolley Wood, local councillors, and the North East Local Area Committee to develop a proposal for an all-wheels facility at Concord Park, on the former bowling greens.

We’d love you to get involved by reviewing the design and completing our short survey to share your feedback on the final proposed plans. The facility is being designed for scooter, bike, and skate users of all ages and abilities.
