Busy weekend with Monsal trail 10k on Saturday and Sheffield half marathon on Sunday! Had to check that Sheffield half was still on as the forecast was for strong winds and heavy rain! Thankfully it was way calmer than advertised which allowed me to get an unexpected pb! Over a minute quicker than last year 😄.
Now it’s time to taper so a few gentle, shorter runs over the next two weeks.
Now of to work for a night shift 😩

After a fantastic night at Owlerton Stadium where we raised around £530 and brought our total to over £4200, I went for my longest run so far.
3 hours in time, 31 km in distance, I chose a relatively flat route but didn’t bank on hail, sleet, rain and strong winds. I’m hoping my 3hr 40min run next week in France will be nicer weather!
4 weeks to go and the closer I get the more excited I feel.
A massive thanks to everyone whose supported me, you don’t know how much it means xx
3 hour run to Rotherham and back in hail and sleet 😩 Check out my run on Strava.

I finished week 4 of my London Marathon training plan by replacing my 90 minute easy run with Meltham Tough 10k! You know you’re in trouble when ‘tough is in the title 😉. Thanks to the support of my running club, Steel City Striders RC and my go faster Nikes (no, it’s not cheating 😬) I managed a rapid 53:16!! 12 weeks to go and the training is going really well, the fundraising is going even better! We are currently at £3580 (179% of target)! Watch this space for my next fundraising event ‘A Night at the Dogs’ at Owlerton stadium in Friday 22nd March!
Meltham tough 10k….wow! Check out my run on Strava.

My final run of week 3 London Marathon training plan, a great run that felt really good. It was supposed to be 80 minutes but the Botanical Gardens were closed so ended up extending it a bit. 13 weeks to go and the training feels good, also the fundraising is going fantastically! We are at 179% of target which is £3580!!
