If we have not developed safe and effective relations with other human beings, time spent with animals and horses provides a means by which we can connect with this essential social and emotional need. A space of non-verbal interactions, connections and reflections that clients can tolerate and engage with 🐴

When Words are not enough 🐴🤎
When words cannot be expressed by a client, equine interactions in therapy can aid traumatised systems to become more regulated enabling them to explore and release their emotions in a safe supported way, no words required 🐴🤎

Self Care Sunday
I didn't ride as planned today as it was raining hard this morning, I had also been up with my elderly dog since 4am so it's been a rather 'down beat' sort of day ...just sat quietly watching Miss D'Arcy and Matilda self selecting the purple milk thistles (aids digestion and protects the liver) guess they're having a kinda self care day too ..whilst getting fat 🙈
