Welcome to the Kingston Diamonds Female Ice Hockey Club
‘We’ve had a very good season on and off the ice at Diamonds this year. Our Prem team finished 3rd in the league, and put up a good fight against Bristol in the playoffs, being the only team to take a point off them all season
Off the ice we launched a Learn to Play course, which has led to us proposing and New D1 team, increasing the club to four female teams.
This is our first tournament for a while, so I’m sure the players will be excited to get back on the ice, after missing so much in the past few years.’

Introducing our Under 16 team !

Sheffield Shadows U16'S are very fortunate to have a large squad of girls from age 4-16 at various stages of their playing careers, right from beginner to Great Britain players.
Our challenge this tournament was to select a competitive side whilst offering as many of our girls the opportunity to showcase what talents they have.
The opportunity arouse to enter a second team which enabled us to offer our younger, up and coming players the chance to step up their game and roles within the blue team.
For some of our older, more experienced players this will be their last adventure at u16's and we will wish them a great future in senior hockey.

The Shadows were delighted to return to league action this season following the prolonged Covid layoff, there were only so many sessions across a third of the ice in bubbles that everyone could take and for many it was the chance to re-charge the batteries.

The Sheffield tournament represents a great opportunity for additional ice time, especially for the Division 1 team, who played a smaller number of games than their Premier counterparts. It is also an opportunity for the club to come together and this will be reflected in the makeup of the teams for the tournament. Besides providing scope for players to play together, who wouldn’t normally do so, it is the perfect time to blood some of the up and coming Under 16s, who will be making their way into Senior Ladies hockey over the coming seasons.

The Shadows are looking forward to the tournament and hope that everyone coming to it has a great time.

Please be aware this weekend (16th and 17th July) Bassfest is taking place on the Don Valley Bowl. Access on Coleridge Road is restricted to EISS and ICE Sheffield Customers only. Please allow additional time in getting to the venue as the area is likely to be busier than usual.

Please be aware that the bottom 2 car park rows at iceSheffield are closed off this weekend due to Bass Fest.

The rows are closed from Friday 15th July - Monday 18th July

With just a week to go until our inaugural womens summer tournament we are busy putting together the finishing touches to the event.

On behalf of the committee and the coaching team I am pleased to be welcoming The Kingston diamonds, Manchester storm, Nottingham Vipers, Peterborough Phantoms Women and London Capitals to Ice sheffield for our womens and U16 competition.

We are working hard to make this a memorable event.
