I didn’t just pick this up
I was forged by the masters
From a very young age (9) walking into I had ambition, energy and a desire to be something
I was shaped under the late great Brendan Ingle and guided by Dominic Ingle
Life outside the ring pulled me off course
Poor choices
Time away
Years that could have defined me
That chapter ended my career as a fighter
But it never killed the fire
The discipline
The movement
The humility
The thinking man’s approach to boxing
It all stayed with me
Today I stand in Concrete Canvas Boxing Gym holding the bag gifted by the coach who once trained me as a boy
That bag is not just equipment
It’s trust
It’s legacy
It’s proof that growth is real
Concrete Canvas isn’t built on hype
It’s built on heritage
On hard lessons
On giving young fighters opportunities I nearly lost myself
We train amateurs
We train pros
We coach the public
We work with local schools
And through partnership with Jordanthorpe and Batemoor Chantry Tara we’ve been able to provide free meals during summer camps for kids who show up and put the work in
Boxing saved me
Now it’s my responsibility to pass it on
