Official page for the Friends of Millhouses Park Millhouses Park is located approximately 3 miles south-west of Sheffield City Centre.
Part of the park was gifted by Earl Fitzwilliam & Marquis of Zetland in 1909, with the remainder purchased by Sheffield City Council. Recent improvements include the Splash! project, located on the site of the old swimming pool and lido and reintroduces water play into the park, many years after the lido was closed and filled in. Exciting news!
We hope you all get to make the most of the summer months and enjoy all the park has to offer. We get masses of queries at this time of year, so please find below information on the most frequently asked questions:
The park is a public open space, free to enter, and open all day until dusk. That includes the water splash, the playground and the basketball courts.
Pay and display parking is available, with car parks at each end of the park.
The toilets close at 6pm.
The boats, tennis and cafe are run by private operators. You will find contact details for the Pudding Ladies (cafe) and Tennis Sheffield (tennis) online, and the boats on Facebook at Swan Boats Millhouses Park Sheffield.
There is no lost property facility in the park. If you lose or find items you can add a post on our Millhouses Park Sheffield Lost and Found page so that owners or finders can get in touch.
Hopefully that covers most questions! Please help take care of the park by taking your litter home or using the many bins available, by not using barbecues within the park, and by cleaning up after your dogs, so that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable time there.
