The Pumas boys yesterday showed just what they were all about.
Facing a side in the cup that hammered us a few short weeks ago was a tough one mentally for the boys to navigate.
They went 2-0 down fairly quickly, however this time their heads failed to drop. They battled and battled. Got back on an even keel and in the end it was our opponents who were clinging on to take it to penalties.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be and one goal decided the shoot out in the end.
Penalties are at lottery and at times cruel, especially when the ref failed to pick up a foul that should have seen a red card.
But that’s football, you win some you lose some. We may have lost the shoot out, but yesterday we won because we were a ‘TEAM’. We showed true grit, determination and resilience in the face of adversity and we couldn’t be prouder of the young men that we are watching grow on and off the pitch.
MOTM yesterday went to Prince for his goals getting us back in the game and Riley for his battling in the centre.
Well done boys 🧡🖤🧡

Final match of the season for the Puma Boys and what a game to finish.
We’ve had a few blips in form over the season but these things happen to every team. It’s how you react and learn from it that sets teams apart and the boys finished the season in style.
Going a goal down did not deter them and they frustrated the opposition for the full 60 minutes, causing them to lose their heads at times, which is never nice to see. But our boys stayed calm they refused to retaliate and they were rewarded with a comfortable win.
Billy was an absolute rock at the back, playing in a position he’s not too familiar with but he smashed it.
Goals for our returning players Leo and Little Arch was just the icing on the cake. They are working their way back to full fitness after horrid injuries but they made their mark and showed exactly why they have been missed so much.
Further goals for our left footed wonder kid Bobby sealed our opponents fate.
Gutted our Captain big Arch didn’t manage to convert his header from Alfie’s corner but i can see that being a real threat to teams moving forward.
We couldn’t be prouder of the boys this season.
Now we look forward to a cup run and a fun football weekend in Blackpool.
Coaches MOTM went to Billy for his stand out performance at the back.
Players MOTM went to Leo, his teammates recognising his goals and how good it was to have him back on the pitch.
Well done boys 🧡🖤🧡🖤🧡

Well what a performance we witnessed yesterday by the Puma boys.
On a very small and ‘soiled’ pitch our lads put out a dominant display from the first to the last whistle.
Prince got us on the scoresheet first to settle the nerves and from there it was a masterclass in teamwork. With Joe bagging a few and Alfie with a brace that could have quite easily been 4-5 on a different day.
Unlucky not to get the clean sheet but can take nothing away from our opponents as the strike was formidable.
All in all a positive and exciting day at the office and we head into the Easter break on a high.
The Coaches player of the match went to Archie who was a rock at the back and cleared everything.
The players player of the match was awarded to Prince who’s work rate and determination to fight for everything made him stand out to his peers.
A well deserved week off now before our final league game of the season 🧡🖤🧡

Today saw the Puma boys back on home turf and back to winning ways 🎉
Today it all came back together again and we saw a glimpse of what this team is capable of. Pressure from the first whistle, energy and teamwork. We are still a man down and missing Little Arch terribly but he would have been very proud of his teammates today.
The coaching team mixed things up and decided to ask the lads to play in a different formation with two upfront and within minutes it proved fruitful with both attackers Alfie and Prince finding the back of the net within seconds of each other.
The lads continued to dominate. Our midfield battled to win everything and drive us forward. Joe, Riley, Ronnie and Billy never stopped which led to Joe bursting forward to get his name on the scoresheet. It was great to see Leo back on the pitch and his free-kick was so close.
As always our defence stood strong, Bobby with his speed, Archie with that head of his, Harrison with his sheer determination and our steam train that is Parker, who’s slide tackling today was on point.
We were unlucky not to keep the clean sheet but have nothing but praise for our lads between the sticks, Max and Teddy. It can be a lonely place at times as a keeper but they both stayed alert and made sure they did what was needed when they were called upon.
It’s not often we mentioned every lad, but today it’s a testament to their resilience and the praise is warranted.
The coaches have decided they want to not only award their own MOTM each week but also ask the lads to vote and pick their MOTM too.
Players Player of the Match was awarded to Alfie
Coaches Player of the Match was awarded to Joe
Well done boys, proud of every single one of you

A little later than normal due to a string of nightshifts.
But Sunday saw the Pumas boys with an early trip into Derbyshire and after a couple of disappointing weeks we were hoping to get back on track.
Our boys dominated the first half. Leading at half time from a well worked team goal where Joes shot was saved but quick reactions from Alfie saw him put the rebound in the back of the net.
Much of the same in the second half however, in the dying minutes a slight lack in concentration saw the home side capitalise to even the score.
Our boys were much improved from recent weeks and our number 88 was outstanding. Playing through the middle and in a defensive position where he gave it his all and earned himself our MOTM award. Well done Riley 💪🏼

Points dropped again on the road for the Puma boys but a much more pleasing performance and the scoreline really didn’t reflect the game.
We seem to have been hit with a string of injuries, that alongside other unforeseen absences left the team down to the bare bones.
Despite the loss, the performance was nothing short of commendable. The first half they dominated and despite a couple of sloppy mistakes it was all Puma’s.
The second half saw a tactical change by the coaches. Unfortunately, this didn’t quite go to plan. There was some tired legs due to lack of subs and the shear work rate displayed by the boys for the whole 60 minute’s, but no excuses that’s football and sometimes that’s just the way it goes.
Fair play to our opponents whose keeper was outstanding and made some unbelievable saves to keep our attackers at bay.
Our MOTM today was Joe. Asked to play in a different position than his norm, and was outstanding. Loved seeing him stretch his legs.
We hope for a better outcome next Sunday and the boys are excited for there sponsored walk on Saturday. There’s still time to support them on the road the Blackpool 🧡 🖤 🧡
