This was held on the 5th March 2011 in Grenoside woods.

The Steel City Series will be a sporadic succession of mountain bike races all around the Sheffield, which started with the inaugural Peaty's Steel City Downhill. Steve Peat in association with the Wildlife Trust, Ride Sheffield and ThisiSheffield, are proud to present Sheffield’s very own Mini Downhill race

We have a few bits left after the race and we’re taking orders for a reprint for the rest!

Hit the link in our Linktree, place your order and we’ll get it to you as soon as we can! For some sizes that’ll be straight away, others will be a good few weeks wait - each product page explains the leadtime.

You have until 18th Oct to get an order in, then we’ll close this off.

The crowd is what makes this race and you all delivered this year, nice one! Bringing the vibe, buying merch, supporting our stallholders - all appreciated! 👊

It was our first year asking for money on the gates and this was very well supported - pub run will get some TLC thanks to this.

The reusable cups went down well too and we noticed less rubbish thrown around, so a big thanks for your efforts here!

are our other unsung heroes - picking up damaged riders and getting them back on the mend!

They were shaking their collection tins on race day and we hope you’ve all helped fill them - but please fire them a few quid anyhow!

Mountain Rescue organisations aren’t centrally funded by government, so rely on donations and their own fundraising.

First in our big thank yous is to Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust

We’d have no race without a track - a joint project between the Wildlife trust and helped the purchase of the site - and we’ve run the race (nearly) every year since.

We as a race kick back £ to the Trust and we’d nudge you all to do the same if you can. Check their site, send some pounds, maybe even join as a member?!
