Hi everyone my self and Leslie Heaps are organising a 48hr carp match at Hayton Hayton Fishing Lakes on the Shoveler lake from Friday 30th of June until Sunday the 2nd of July 2023 time not yet agreed. The match is in memory of Alan Sutton who sadly lost his battle with cancer on 29th of December 2022 .

Alan was an avid angler who loved not only carp fishing but coarse fishing as well.

We are raising funds for Rotherham hospice, as the care they gave not only to Alan but to many others like him with their battle with cancer was second to none and we’d like to give something back on his behalf.

The cost of 48hrs match will be set at £80 for adults and £60 for juniors (under 16). Juniors who fish will need to be with an appropriate adult.

On the Saturday we are planning to put on a BBQ where some of Alan's family will be present to say their thanks for helping to raise funds for the Rotherham Hospice.

There will be Prizes for the biggest fish caught and the most weight of carp caught over the over the weekend for both adults and juniors.

We also plan to run a couple of raffles over the weekend as well.

We know that money is a little tight at the moment but please remember this is for charity and all money raised will be going to Rotherham Hospice from the event.
