Semester 2 has come to an end and it has been a great year for ShUOC! Here are some of the highlights of our semester, full of races and socials, and lots of training in Sheffield and beyond!

Awarded best university orienteering club in 2022, we are an active and welcoming club, with members ranging in ability from those who have just begun learning to navigate, to those in who have competed for GB! It might be exams but ShUOC is still as busy as ever!
Last weekend, a few ShUOCers headed to the Manchester in May weekend, with some great performances and several podiums!
This weekend we had our club champs and leavers meal, and despite some potential DQs from half the field it was a wonderful day! Well done to Lily and Daisy as our Club Champions this year!
This was followed by our leavers meal at BBs Italian, a great night to celebrate the year that ShUOC has had!

Today we hosted our club championships in the Peaks 😊We started at Fox House with the first fell section, then switched maps to an orienteering map! 🧭 We then had 8 controls to find in some technical but runnable forest, before the second and final fell section.
Our club members had a great time in the sun and we are all looking forward to our formal leavers meal tonight 🍕

Yesterday we had our second barbecue social of the year at bole hills 😎 we were treated to some lovely sunny weather ☀️ and we all cooked up some yummy dinners 🍔🥙🍝 once we were done, we headed off to to enjoy a few pints 🍻

Another week finished with ShUOC!
This week we had our annual barrel social hosted by a couple of freshers, proceeded by a night out on west street!
This weekend we then headed to Calderdale Way Relays, where our team of 12 took on many local teams! We ended up coming 3rd in the mixed category with a total time of 07:37:15!
