As the 2026 season begins to draw to a close, we’re taking a closer look at the players behind our 1st XI, highlighting their contributions and achievements for MWCC !

Huge congratulations to our very own Lucy Atherton on winning this award! It is so deserved and we are lucky to have her and a band of willing tea volunteers each week. The teas at MWCC are fantastic and prepared to such a high standard - we thank all of our tea volunteers across our club from the bottom of our bellies!

Lucy Atherton does the teas for the club’s 2nd XI in the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League...the colourful and inventive selection really stood out in our budget category.

Homemade lemon curd and buttercream cake and salads (chicken tikka and chickpea, beetroot and apple as well as roasted pepper, feta and pine nut).

Well done to Lucy and Millhouses Works CC who win a trophy and 1,500 teabags to keep the brews topped up, from our long-time competition supporter Yorkshire Tea.
