Nutrition doesn't have to be complicated

Sometimes I think the health and fitness industry likes to keep us confused.

Why? Because confused people keep spending their hard earned money on the next 'solution'

Keto
Juice cleanses
Shakes
Cabbage soup diet
Fasting
Baby food diet
Supplements
The ice diet
Apple cider vinegar
The werewolf diet.......yes really

It's exhausting.

The truth?

Most healthy meals don't need a calculator, an app or a degree in nutrition.

A simple way to build a balanced plate is:

👊 1 fist of protein
👊 1 fist of complex carbohydrates
👊 2 fists of salad or vegetables

That's it.

Balanced.

Nutritious.

And most importantly, enjoyable.

Because healthy eating shouldn't feel like a full-time job.

And you certainly shouldn't have to spend a fortune chasing the next "solution".

Sometimes the simple stuff really does work best.

There has been a great shift recently towards encouraging women to get strong and stay active so they can live their best lives for as long as possible 💜

It all sounds great.

But if you're already in your 50s, 60s, 70s or beyond, you might read those posts and think:

*"That's all very well... but it's too late for me."*

Trust me.

It is never too late to get stronger.

It is never too late to improve your balance.

It is never too late to feel more energetic.

And it is definitely NEVER too late to start prioritising yourself.

You don't have to become the fittest version of yourself overnight.

You just have to start where you are.

Because the best time to start is today.

And trust me, it is never too late to surprise yourself 💪

Two books.

One message.

Midlife isn't something to survive.
It's something to step into 💜

📖 *It's OK to Wobble* helps you think differently.

📔 *The Wobble Journal* helps you live differently.

No extremes.
No perfect plans.
No "new you by Monday."

Just small shifts, honest conversations and a better way forward.

Because we may wobble sometimes...

But we're definitely not fading away 💜

Have you goy your copy yet? Both available on Amazon.

How strong is your midlife self? 💜

Could you:

🛒 Carry a week's shopping comfortably?
🥫 Open a stubborn jar?
🪜 Reach up and put something on a top shelf?
🛋️ Get up off the sofa or floor with ease?
⚖️ Balance on one leg while putting your shoes on?

These are the sorts of things we look at in our new Midlife Strength Test.

Don't worry - there's no lycra, no leaderboard and definitely no judgement 🤣

Just a small group of 6 women in our private gym taking a look at:

👉 Balance
👉 Grip strength
👉 Core strength
👉 Leg strength
👉 Flexibility
👉 Cardio fitness

Not to see who's "best".

But to understand where you are right now and identify any areas that could help you stay strong, healthy and independent for years to come.

Most of our members have actually surprised themselves with how well they've done 💪

Because midlife isn't about being perfect.

It's about giving yourself the best chance of living the life you want.

Interested in giving it a go? Drop me a message and I'll send you the details 💜

You've sat down to play with the grandchildren, do a bit of gardening, find the thing you've dropped under the sofa for the 17th time...
Can you get back up again comfortably?

It's one of those things we don't really think about until it starts feeling harder than it used to.

The good news?

Getting older doesn't automatically mean getting weaker 💜

Strength, balance and fitness can all be improved, whatever your age and whatever your starting point.

That's one of the reasons I've created the Midlife Health Quiz

No judgement.
No pass or fail.
No telling off.

Just a chance to see where you are right now and perhaps identify a few areas where small changes could make a big difference.

Because midlife isn't about being perfect.

It's about staying strong enough to enjoy the life you want to live.

So... could you get up off the floor with ease?

And if not, what might be your first small step? 💜

Link to the quiz in the comments, I would love to know how you get on.

Before & After 🤣

What a fab day at Graves park completing Pretty Muddy for Cancer research UK.

It was cold, wet and of course muddy but we had an absolute blast 🙌🏼

And raised over £2000 for charity 🩷

Well done everyone, already decided we will be there next year.

Is it too early for bed? I think I may take Samsung's advice today 🤣

We Don’t Do a Summer Shred at Believe & Achieve

Could we run a hardcore summer programme? Sure. But it's not our thing. And here’s why 👇

I believe that in order to coach something well, you’ve got to believe in it AND be willing to do it yourself.

And I’m just gonna say it, I have no interest in:
❌ Giving up carbs
❌ Tracking every mouthful
❌ Training like I’m auditioning for Gladiators
❌ Saying no to cake, crisps, wine, or meals out.

Been there. Done that. In my younger days, I did the photoshoots, the strict plans, the dramatic transformations—and yep, some of it was great.

But now, in my 50s?
✅I want to be fit, strong, and feel good in my body—while still eating Kit Kats.
✅I want to exercise—but not every single day.
✅I want a life that includes workouts and Pinot Grigio

And if I wouldn’t follow a plan like that now, how could I possibly ask you to?

So, if you're looking for a gym that’ll whip you into shape with a 6-week no-fun plan… that’s not us.

But if you want to feel strong, confident, energised—and still enjoy your life while doing it—we might just be your people 💜

Next 4-week Healthy Kick Start begins in July and keep an eye out for our next free beginners session this month.

📖 The Wobble Book Club is back!

Next month we're reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert ✨

If you've ever had an idea you've talked yourself out of wanted to try something new but let fear get in the way. Or felt like life has become a long list of responsibilities and not enough fun...

This book might be for you.

The Wobble Book Club is a relaxed monthly get-together where we chat about the book, share ideas, discuss what resonated and explore how we might actually use some of what we've learned.

No pressure. No homework vibes. No need to commit to every month.

Just good conversation, fresh perspectives and a chance to spend time with other women who are figuring life out too
☕ Coffee and cake optional (but let's be honest, highly likely)
📚 You just need your own copy of the book
💜 Free to attend

📍 Sheffield venue to be confirmed.

Booking opens at 9am tomorrow and spaces are limited to just 6.

I think one of the biggest myths in health and fitness is believing it has to be all or nothing.

That if we can’t:
❌ meal prep perfectly
❌ exercise 5 times a week
❌ cut out sugar
❌ drink green juice while doing yoga at sunrise 🤣

…then there’s no point.

But honestly?

Most of the women doing well long term are just doing small things consistently.

Going for a walk.
Doing 2 strength sessions a week.
Drinking a bit more water.
Getting to bed earlier.
Trying again after a bad week instead of giving up.

Nothing extreme.
Nothing crazy

And over time, those small things add up in a really big way and create a healthy lifestyle that is
🥰Enjoyable
👌🏻Manageable
🧘🏻‍♀️Sustainable
🙌🏻 Successful

That is my kind of plan ☺️
