Super stars 🌟
I’m always asked Why we don’t shut the studio over the summer holidays. Here are a few reasons why we don’t shut.
For dancers, continuing to train over the summer offers benefits that go beyond simply staying active.
* Maintains technique: Regular practice helps preserve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and muscle memory, making it easier to pick up where they left off.
* Builds strength and stamina: Consistent training improves fitness and prepares dancers for the autumn term/Exams/competitions
* Increases flexibility: Stretching and conditioning throughout the summer can lead to noticeable improvements in range of motion.
* Develops confidence: Continued progress keeps dancers feeling capable and motivated rather than anxious about returning after a long break.
* Accelerates progress: Without a lengthy interruption, dancers can continue learning new skills instead of spending weeks regaining previous ability.
* Reduces injury risk: Staying conditioned makes the transition back to full training-smoother and may lower the risk of injuries thatcan occur after a long period of inactivity.
* Provides creative opportunities: Summer workshops and choreography sessions allow dancers to explore different styles, improve performance quality, and express themselves creatively.
* Supports exam and competition preparation:Dancers working toward exams, auditions, or competitions have extra time to refine technique and performance.
* Builds friendships: Summer classes and camps help dancers stay connected with friends and strengthen their sense of belonging within the studio.
* Creates healthy routines: Regular classes encourage discipline, time management, andan active lifestyle even when school is out.
* Makes the autumn transition easier: Dancers return feeling prepared, confident, and ready to continue progressing from the first class, rather than spending time rebuilding fitness and technique.

Please can I ask that children come to class in correct uniform. We have a lot of children without ballet and tap shoes. We’re heading into Exam season so it’s essential children have correct uniform and shoes.
I’ve attached the link to our online shop
It’s a hot one today ☀️ please make sure children are dressed appropriately and bring plenty to drink 💦 💦
