Champion of Champions competition this afternoon on a cool but dry day.
There were 10 contenders - all winners in 2025 - split into 2 groups - the winner of each group going on to the play in the final - which was nail biting.
The eventual winner was Liz who narrowly beat Diane on the last end

Opening of the new irrigation scheme this afternoon - with thanks to Martin the project manager and to the workers who toiled in the rain and cold - and to the members who donated.

The annual In a yard competition took place this afternoon with 27 members taking part.
The winner - who collected The Diana Cameron Trophy - was Dan Spivy.

It's getting a bit embarrassing - HG has won the Rose Bowl for the third year running - this time at Abbeydale.
It was a good but a long day - Abbeydale organised everything very well and the 4 clubs played some close matches.
The day was finished off with a dinner in the evening where we we're treated to Joe Root pie.

Terrain aeration working today.
Injecting compressed air and seaweed deep into the green via a multitude of holes.
This will cure the problem with waterlogging which has made conditions favourable for the growth of Toad Rush.
The green was playable for a match the same evening.

Hallam Grange won the Rose Bowl for the second year running - hosted by Fulwood Club and with Abbeydale and Nether Edge also taking part.
