Climbing hold creators and manufacturers Core Climbing, formed 2008. Owned and run by three Sheffield-based climbers; Tim Marsh, Stephen Royle and Leo Moger.

Inspired by the crags and boulders in legendary Peak district
and years of climbing and travelling. We love to capture the essence of the amazing climbing venues and rock types we visit, and to design holds purely for climbing pleasure.

Ever noticed our logo under your feet? ๐Ÿ‘€

That matting you're standing on at climbing walls across the UK, there's a good chance it's ours. We've been building it for over a decade, alongside every hold you've ever pulled on, pushed off, or cursed under your breath.

We make holds for every grade and every style, because good setting means options. Volumes for flow and movement, crimps and edges for the precision stuff, and feet for when footwork matters more than power.
Oh, and did we mention reliable downclimb j***s so you can get back down safely once you're pumped? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Routesetters get the range to be creative, and climbers get walls that actually work for them, whatever grade they're climbing. That's the whole idea.
Next session, look down, up, and around. We're probably there. ๐Ÿง—

TENZING NATURAL ENERGY asked for a board for their offices, and we delivered.๐Ÿ”ฅ

Massive shoutout to Andrew Yorkie York and for the route-setting magic that brought this board to life.

๐Ÿ’ญThe result is a setup that looks unreal, climbs brilliantly, and gives the Tenzing team the perfect place to start their journey into climbing while still being able to push themselves on some harder, classic holds.

Big energy, great people, and an even better experience ๐Ÿ‘Š

Best spare bedroom in the Highlands.๐Ÿ’ช

Weโ€™d have to agree.

Billy recently upgraded his home wall with our Chamfer Home Wall Matting, creating a safer, cleaner space for every session.

โœ”๏ธ Installed in just 5 minutes.
โœ”๏ธ Modular design.
โœ”๏ธ Built to handle years of training.

Now all thatโ€™s left is finding a new home for those old mattresses... ๐Ÿ˜„

Thanks for sharing your setup with us, Billy!

๐Ÿ’ญ Jack has shared with us how his Core Titan Crash Pad has saved his lumbar spine so many times, which is why he takes it everywhere. Not having to think about the fall definitely helps cool focused sends like these ๐Ÿ’ช

And if you want to see the whip compilation Jack made, checkout one of our pinned posts to see the pads in action ๐Ÿ‘€

What a weekend at the Blochaus Competition! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

It was great to see so many climbers giving it their all, with an exciting World Cup-style final to round off the day.

We were proud to support the event by supplying holds for two of the finals blocs:
๐ŸŸก Urban Plastix Structures by Kilter featured on the Menโ€™s 3 final.
๐ŸŸข Our Coastal range took centre stage on the Menโ€™s 4 final.

A huge thank you to the team at BlocHaus Climbing, Manchester for having us, weโ€™re always happy to support events that bring the climbing community together and showcase great route setting.

Congratulations to everyone who competed, set, volunteered and cheered from the sidelines. ๐Ÿ‘

Build your stack. Carry it your way. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Crash Pad Bundle 1 combines the Workhorse, Reactor Half and Nucleus Sit Pad, giving you adaptable coverage for full landings, uneven ground, gaps and sit starts.

At the heart of the setup is The Stack, our integrated carry system designed to secure multiple crash pads together. In carry mode, the cover wraps around the Workhorse so additional Core pads, or many pads you may already own from other brands, can be stacked and secured for the walk in.

Once unfolded, the shoulder straps are covered and kept away from dirt, rock and wet ground. Fully adjustable chest and waist harnesses help distribute the load comfortably, making longer or steeper approaches easier.

Bundle 1 is only one way to build your setup. Choose from our other crash-pad bundles, mix different Core pads together, or expand your stack over time as your needs change.

Every Core pad is handmade in Sheffield in small batches and built with:

โ€ข A hybrid-hinge design with a seamless top foam layer
โ€ข Carefully selected triple-density foam
โ€ข Tough 1100D Cordura
โ€ข An adjustable backpack harness designed for repeated crag days

A modular setup that is easy to stack, comfortable to carry and built to last.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Explore all crash-pad bundles through the link in our bio.

Climb with care. Climb for change. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™

Created in memory of climber and instructor Harry Southern, our Hold On For Harry holds help carry an important message onto climbing walls: we need to talk openly about su***de and help people find support.
