Edge Hill Swim Team provides you with the chance to jump into an exhilarating sport and join a team that is all about making new friends and working together. We are a mixed ability, mixed gender team that will not only help you during practice but throughout your university experience.
We compete at multiple competitions including the British University Championships and train throughout the week in a 25m pool.

As well as this we also hold weekly socials filled with lots of themes, games and of course alcohol…

Amazing news we have reached the 3000 miles target 🎯 for alder hay million miles. Want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has donated and supported us. Well done to everyone who has worked so hard getting the miles in for such a good cause!

EHU swim team are taking part in the Alder Hay charity fundraiser “Million Miles” to help children’s and young people’s mental health allowing them to have better access to the treatment they need when they need it.

This is a charity close to Rachel Walker and as a team along with ex EHU swim team veterans and her friends from home we have set a target of completing 3,000 miles by walking, cycling and running by April 2021 in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions. Here is a message from Rachel herself and why this means so much “I have been a volunteer at Alder Hay Children’s Hospital for nearly two years now and seeing first hand the incredible work they do is what inspired me to set up this challenge and continue to support them!”

Unsung club hero: Meg Burt💕

Meg is one of the most caring and supportive people we have ever had on our team, she is so dedicated to us, not only this year but for the past four years of her time at university. She is so motivated to do the best she can and gives up so much time for our team she picks everyone up and is a true hero behind the scenes. She always has everyone’s best interests at heart, and the team would not be where it is today without megs effort and commitment!!! Congrats you are a queeeeennnnn and a true hero ❤️❤️❤️

Male swimmer of the year: Cam Lamb 💕

Cam has shown amazing commitment since he joined the team and he is a true asset to the team and a friend to everyone both in and out of the pool. His determination to challenge himself at training, and consistent performance leading his lane is remarkable. He has integrated so well with the team and continuously shows us what a fierce swimmer he is. We’re very proud to have him as a member of the swim team and cannot wait to see what he will achieve in the future.
