Sheffield City FC Youth are proud to announce we will that we have a new team being formed for the upcoming 2026-2027 season.

This will be an Under 11's Junior Premier League team competing at the highest level.

We as a club have amazing partnerships with Next Level Football Academy and Sheffield United FC where many of our young prospects have flourished.

We are trialing for all position so if you would like your child to attend the open trial weeks then please contact Nick Taylor - 07931 914 852.

'City Partner with Academy'

‘It is with great pleasure that today Sheffield City Football Club can announce the start of a Partnership with Sheffield United Academy.

This for us, is a huge step forward and will give our talented youngsters of our junior section a chance to shine and give them opportunities to progress up the football ladder.

Our junior section will also be able to attend events and tournaments with Sheffield United Academy to put their skills on display.

This is an amazing day for the club, and we would like to thank everyone involved at Sheffield United Academy for making this possible.

The Sheffield City Youth U12 boys competed in their first tournament on Sunday hosted by Hoyland Common Falcons.

The boys began the group stage with an impressive 3-0, a tidy finish from Sidney rounding the goalkeeper and well taken goals from Henry & Alex.

The second game the boys battled well but unfortunately lost 2-0.

The third game the team bounced back and whilst not at their best won comfortably 2-0 A***n scoring both goals.

Their best performance of the group stage came last, needing a win to progress to the knockouts the boys won 2-0 with a tidy finish from striker Henry and a great team goal finished by Charlie K. The boys finished the group 2nd and progressed to the semi final!

The semi final game was against a strong opponent who had topped their group with 4/4 wins. The team had to defend well with some fantastic saves by Oskar to keep us in the game and were limited to a few chances, Henry coming closest to scoring.

The boys won a free kick and with the last kick of the game Jaxon stepped up and found the top corner from inside his own half! An incredible finish to put us in the final.

The heavens opened for the final and after long break between games the boys looked sluggish at times, Oskar again made some incredible saves to keep us in the game but unfortunately the boys eventually conceded and lost the game 0-1.

Finishing runners up is an incredible achievement and a huge well done to all the boys who played!

Goodluck Archie, amazing talent and you will be missed young man.

📣New Season, New Beginnings📣
Now with a new season, comes a new start and now for the first time A NEW KIT.
We would like to thank Surridge Sport and DB Sports for sorting the kit out for us they have done an amazing job from start to finish and provided us with such an amazing product.
Also thankyou to Chris Bowen Specialist Transport and Next Level Football Academy for the sponsorship of the new kit.
Cant wait for the new season to start and the first game in the new strip!

📣Announcement 📣
Now that everything has died down from season 24/25.
We have managed to catch up with Chairman Jamie Barton for his thoughts on this season as a whole.
"Well its a tough one really as across the club as a whole its been a very successful season, especially with our new junior section.
Our U11 JPL team with some great results and development coming up against some high opposition which takes them into next season with great knowledge for what they need to work on.
Our U11 City Youth who came over to us after having a not so nice season on 23/24 and worked very hard in training and at the first try got promoted jumping 2 leagues, then consolidated in the cup period, then again got promoted again at the end of the season. Taking huge strides in the right direction and 2 promotions in 1 season!
Our U11 City Youth Blacks came over to us as a late arrival and certainly impressed. Finishing just above mid table in the first part of the season then after clerical errors had to start in division C and did brilliantly to win their league and the Cup all in 6 weeks! Then going into the final period of the season came 4th in division B even after losing 3 players to academys.
All of our junior squads have been a great addition to the club and are working towards their targets brilliantly.
I would just like to give a quick shout to the parents and coaches who dont give us any trouble and have been amazing all season.
As for our adult section it was a season of ups and downs. The development team had a great start topping the table but then after dropping off finished just below mid table. As for the first team i think we set a new record for a full season without a win BUT and this is a HUGE but...the silver lining has got to be the bew coaching staff and team as a whole. After a rejig in management and personnel we didn't only compete towards the end of the season we finished strong.
Now we look to next season in division 1 where we will look to bounce back.

As a Junior section we have had a very successful 24/25 season with teams gaining multiple promotions, a cup win and all round the kids have developed their football.
