A reflection from this time last year…..but I wanted to sing again👀 this time too🥺 I will sing again for sure soon…
Looking back at myself then not knowing how things would work out, carrying so many questions and having no one who could really give me the answers—today, I can only smile.
In those rough and uncertain moments, I often found myself sitting beside these waters. While others were busy with parties, plans and whatever felt important in their own lives, the river quietly became my companion—asking nothing of me, yet giving me so much. Whenever I arrived drained, I somehow left with a little more energy, a little more hope, and the same gentle reminder again and again.
Perhaps some of the truest lifelong friendships we make are not always human. Sometimes they are with a river, a tree, the wind, a mountains, piece of nature that simply stays, listens without judgement, no competition and teaches us how to keep flowing.
Trust the process.
Go with the flow of life.
You may not know where you are going yet,
but trust that you are being carried towards where you are meant to be.
Life knows where it is taking you.
So much has changed in a year. And looking back now, I feel incredibly happy, grateful and proud of the journey.
Right now, while recovering from acute bronchitis, I found myself listening to my own voice from that day a little song I sang just for myself, with the wind, river and nature of Sheffield singing along in the background.
And the message was beautifully simple:
Just love.
Love yourself.
Love where you are.
Just Trust The Flow Of Life Like River.
Love the journey even when you don’t yet know where it is taking you.
Maybe we aren’t meant to have all the answers immediately. Sometimes we simply have to keep walking, keep becoming—and one day look back and realise how beautifully some of the dots connected. ❤️
Sometimes life doesn’t give us the answers when we ask the questions. Sometimes we have to live our way into them. ❤️
Now a little challenge for my Sheffield people 👀
Who can tell me where in Sheffield this is? And bonus points if you can name the water flowing here.
I know the answer…
