A fantastic effort from Porter Panthers u9s today, winning the 'Champions League' Cup at the AFC Dronfield Summer Tournament! The boys were brilliant against some top opposition, winning all 5 games, culminating in victory in the final against AFC Dronfield Blacks.

Today saw the U7 Porter Festival come to an end – and what a fantastic day it was!

Over the past six weeks, Porter Lions, Brunsmeer, Millhouses, Woodhouse, Nether Green and 7 Hills have battled it out, all leading up to a brilliant finale at King Ecgbert School.

Every team gave their all, with all three games being incredibly close and competitive. Throughout the festival, the children have been at the heart of everything. The respect shown between all the players, their determination, and the outstanding sportsmanship both on and off the pitch have been a credit to everyone involved.

A massive thank you to Ben Pashley, who did an excellent job refereeing all three games, and to all the parents for their fantastic support throughout the festival.

Well done to every player and team involved – you should all be very proud!

Final game of the season for our U13s ends in a 0-2 defeat to promoted Maltby Main. They battled well throughout and frustrated the away team. Well done team 👏🏻

Our U13s bounced back from 2 defeats to beat Dodworth 2-1 this afternoon. After going a goal down in the 1st half they showed great determination to turn it around in the 2nd.

“This is the u18s signing off after 12 fantastic years, having just completed junior football! They finished off with a fairytale ending, a 2-1 last minute winner away to Staveley. We were also lucky enough to play at Staveley's fantastic ground and astro pitch (I'm calling it a stadium!), and the players did it credit with an excellent performance to finish off their junior footballing journey. It's been a great last season, with a top-3 finish, just 3 league defeats, including a 5-month winning run. More than that, we take away all the amazing memories of helping a fantastic group of players from tiny people all the way through to adults. It's been an absolute privilege for me, Kevin and Mark.
