On Saturday 24th June 2023, a Memorial Day will be held at Mosbrough Miners Welfare to celebrate the life of Martin Nicholas Bembridge.
At 3pm Mosborough Whites will play against dads from the junior section of Mosborough FC, many of whom were good friends of Martin.
This will be followed by a race night, charity auction (including sporting memorabilia) and raffle. This will take place upstairs in the Mosbrough Miners Welfare Club at 7pm.
All proceeds will go towards Mosborough FC to support young peoples’ football opportunities and development in the local area.
We hope you can join us, in what promises to be a fantastic occasion, celebrating a life lived to the full.

Tough luck yesterday for us coming out losing 6-4 to Thurcroft, 5-1 down at half time to come back to 5-4 with 10 to play showed great character from the lads, Hat-Trick from “H” to take his tally to 4 for the season and a goal from Woody to break his duck and grab his first goal for the Mos. Hitting the post twice gave us the momentum but it wasn’t to be as Thurcroft broke through on the counter to bag a 6th and take the 3 points, the second half performance is what we want to take in to every game from now on for the full 90 and we will go again next week at home to 2nd place Dearne & District and will be sure to bounce back.
Some good and bad news coming from the team with Richard Caley unfortunately going to be out for atleast 12-14 months with damaged knee ligaments, speedy recovery mate, you already know we will do the best we can to help you recover! On the plus Harry Bell has had a successful operation on his ankle which will hopefully have him back playing within 8 weeks after a season out last year. UTM⚽️

Great to have the Sunday’s back and even better to start off with a 2-1 win, came out flying from the off and didn’t give them a sniff for the first 45, deserved goals from Taz & “H” saw us go in 2-0 at half time. Came out in the second a little slower and allowed our opponents to capitalise on a chance and half the deficit midway through the second half, after 1 sending off and 2 sin bins we found ourself down to 8 men with 5 minutes to go and 47 already been played, showed great character and determination from the 8 to grind out the well deserved win, it wouldn’t be Sunday league without the odd heart attack on the sidline would it? Our first away game next Sunday and hopefully we carry this form into that game! UTM!⚽️

Great win Sunday to cap off a very poor season for us, it was always going to be tough but we still had 11 turn up every week, thank you too the lads that turned up every week they could and thank you to all those that came to watch us, it’s been a reality check after the amazing last season we had but I’m sure this will only help us improve and move on to the team we were. For anybody that is interested in trailing for us for next season we will be starting trials towards the end of the may/start of June, we will also be looking for friendlies on Sundays around these times too so if you have a team yourself and you fancy keeping fit through the summer, drop us a message. Once again thank you to everyone for their efforts this season and I’m sure we will bounce back stronger and better for the new campaign in September.
