WE’VE DONE IT… AGAIN! 🎉

We’re so proud to share that our Pen*stone St John’s CampActive club was inspected by Ofsted at the end of summer and achieved Strong Standards across all areas!

This means that across all our CampActive clubs, we’re consistently achieving Strong Standard, something we couldn’t be prouder of!

Our inspector was really impressed by the warm, caring feel of the club, where children feel included, heard, seen and encouraged to be active and get outside 🍃

They highlighted the “strong and trusting relationships” between our staff and children, our focus on fresh air and physical activity, and how we adapt activities to make sure everyone feels included.

This is a huge testament to our amazing staff team! Without them, CampActive wouldn’t be what it is, and we’re so grateful for everything they do ❤️

It’s what we’re all about, getting children active, reducing screen time, building friendships and confidence, supporting wellbeing and, most importantly… making sure they have FUN! 🏃‍♀️🎨☀️

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for Wraparound Provision of the Year at the nasen Awards 2026! ✨

The nasen Awards celebrate the people and settings making a real difference for children and young people with SEND, championing inclusion and helping every child reach their full potential💛

To be recognised among so many amazing organisations is a huge honour and we couldn’t have done it without our incredible team and our wonderful parents/carers and families!

🎉 We’re thrilled to share that CampActive Millhouse Out Of School Club has been rated Strong Standard across all areas by Ofsted in our very first inspection!

Under Ofsted’s updated inspection framework, ‘strong standard’ sits above the expected level, it means our leaders and team are working above what’s required, not just meeting it.

We’re proud to have achieved this across every area inspected: Behaviour, Attitudes & Routines, Children’s Welfare & Wellbeing, Inclusion, and Leadership & Governance, plus safeguarding standards fully met ⭐️

The inspector highlighted our warm, nurturing relationships with children, our inclusive culture where every child (including those with SEND) is known and supported brilliantly, and our strong partnerships with families and the host school.

A huge congratulations to our outstanding staff team for their dedication, and to the children and families who make Millhouse such a special place to be. Here’s to September and continuing this great work! We can’t wait to welcome back our existing families and a few new ones too 💚

We are pleased to announce we are one of the first settings to complete the Families First CIC quality assurance program!

This new initiative aims to help wraparound and other childcare providers to ensure that their quality processes are appropriate. Achieving the Foundation Step qualification gives parents and carers the assurance that a setting has safeguarding, health and safety, and staff training in place as well as all the required organisational policies 💙

It was a brilliant program for us at CampActive to reflect and strengthen our practice just in time for the summer holidays ☀️
