Fixtures

A Division

Top of the table Southey travel to bottom of the table Walkley CC No.2 tonight as they aim to extend their lead at the top, 2nd place Allied Carlton will hope for a slip up and a big win of their own but they face a tough match away against Laycocks

3rd place Spot on Walkers 147 are at home against Thrybergh WMC and if both teams above them slip up a big win could catapult them into the title race

The final game sees Cueball travel to Pewter spot knowing a win will take them out of the relegation zone, a big win for Pewter Pot could see their faint hopes of the title stay alive

B Division

Allied DH will hope to continue their tremendous run of form, this week Handsworth SC are in the firing line and they need the points to help to try and keep them in the division

2nd Place Allied No.4 will hope to get their first win in 4 as they are at home against Club Baize No.2 who are looking over their shoulder at the relegation spots

The final game sees Pot8’s play mid table Walkley CC No.1 at home, with 3rd place Club Baize No.1 having their bye this week they know a single point will take them above them but will be hoping for more to pressure Allied No.4 in second

C Division

The top 3 are all in action at home this week

Saxon Hotel will hope to bounce back from a rare defeat last week and push themselves closer to the title as they take on Carlton SC at home, Carlton are high on confidence following their 5-0 win last week and still with a chance of promotion will not make it easy for Saxon

Top Club sit in 2nd and they will hope to put clear daylight between themselves and Hilltop as they play Farm Road SC No.1 at home

Hilltop however will be hoping to do the same, they take on Wadsley Bridge No.1 at home

Results tonight could see a big impact on who is going to get promotion

The 2 bottom sides Brinsworth SC & Spot On Mavericks have their byes this week

C Division

Despite losing for only the 3rd time this season Saxon Hotel continued their march towards the title. In a surprise result they lost 3-2 away against bottom of the league Brinsworth SC

Top Club moved into 2nd place this week with a 3-2 win away against Wadsley Bridge WMC No.1, they were 3-0 up at one stage but Wadsley Bridge fought back well

The divisions other game saw a massive 5-0 away win for Carlton SC, the win came against Spot On Mavericks and the margin coupled with Brinsworth win saw Spot On drop to the foot of the league

The result however has lit up Carlton’s hopes of promotion, Saxon are 7 points clear at the top but only 3 points separate 2nd from 5th so plenty of time for things to change

B Division

Allied DH continued their fine form which has taken them to the top of the division, they made it 9 wins out of the last 10 games last week as they won away at bottom side Chapeltown WMC 4-1, the win was helped by breaks of 35 by Dave Pagett & 31 from Jason Evans-Bates

Allied No.4 who have been top for virtually all the season suffered their 3rd defeat in a row but still held on to 2nd place, playing against fellow promotion hopefuls Pot8’s they lost at home 3-2 to make the race for promotion even tighter

Club Baize No.1 travelled to 2nd bottom Handsworth SC and came away with a 3-2 win to stay 3rd, just 1 point separates 2nd to 4th now but crucially 4th place Pot8’s have a game in hand on those above them

The divisions other game saw Thurcroft WMC who have a slight outside chance of promotion travel to Club Baize No.2 and come away with a 3-2 win, the result leaves Baize No.2 just 3 points above the relegation zone

A Division

Top of the league Southey SC suffered their second consecutive defeat last week, at home against 3rd place Spot On Walkers 147 they went down 3-2 despite racing into a 2-0 lead, Spot On’s comeback was helped with a break of 36 by Craig Nicholson

This gave 2nd place Allied Carlton the chance to close the gap even further but they were unable to take advantage, Pewter Pot travelled to the Allied and won 3-2, Will Lemons had a 39 break and Mick Stretch a 63 break in the match but they remain 2 points behind Southey albeit with a game in hand

Cueball boosted their hopes of surviving the drop by beating fellow relegation rivals Allied No.2 4-1 at home, they now sit 2 points from safety with a game in hand

In the last remaining match in the division Thrybergh WMC beat Laycocks 3-2 at home, Dan Bagley & Connor Bradshaw both had breaks of 30 in the match but wasn’t enough to guide their team to victory

Fixtures

A Division

Big games are in force at either end of the table this week

Bottom of the league Cueball are at home against 3rd bottom Allied No.2, anything other than a win could see them move extremely close to a season in the B Division next year

At the top end leaders Southey are at home against 3rd place Spot On Walkers, Southey will want to halt their bad run seeing them lose 3 out of the last 4, another slip up though could hand the advantage to Allied Carlton who are at home against Pewter Pot as they hunt down the top spot

The final game sees a mid table clash as Laycocks travel to Thrybergh

B Division

New leaders Allied DH will hope to extend their lead as they travel to bottom side Chapeltown WMC

The big game in the division though is at the Allied Snooker Centre as 2nd place Allied No.4 take on Pot8’s, with only 3 points separating the top 4 the result in this game could be crucial

3rd place Club Baize No.1 travel to 2nd bottom Handsworth, baize will be hoping to keep the pressure on the top teams but Handsworth after winning last week will hope to follow it up as they battle to stay up

In the final game Club Baize No.2 are at home against Thurcroft, both sides sit just above the bottom 2 and are by no means safe so a win for either team will ease any fears they have

Walkley CC No.1 have their bye

C Division

Saxon Hotel could all but seal promotion to the B Division with a big win as they travel to bottom side Brinsworth SC

Wadsley Bridge WMC No.1 & Top Club both still have an outside chance of getting in the top 2 and this week they go up against each other, a big win for either side will put them right in the mix

The final game sees Spot On Mavericks take on Carlton SC, both teams league season has been slightly underwhelming compared to their exploits in the teams knockout but will want to get one over each other in this game

Hilltop & Farm Road SC No.1 have their bye this week

The final game in the division last week saw Carlton SC defeat Farm Road SC No.1 3-2

Top Club & Wadsley Bridge WMC No.1 had their byes

B Division

Last week saw a change at the top for the first time this season

Allied DH continued their great form which has seen them win 8 out of their last 9 games, with a 3-2 win at home against Club Baize No.2, coupled with Allied No.4’s second 4-1 defeat on the bounce this time at Thurcroft MWC sees Allied DH take top spot albeit by only a point

Club Baize No.1 won 3-2 at home against bottom of the league Chapeltown WMC to move into 3rd place 3 points behind the top

Pot8’s are on the same points as Club Baize No.1 but had their bye last week and are the only team in the top 4 to have played a game less so the title race is really hotting up

In the final game Handsworth SC had a fantastic 3-2 win at Walkley CC No.1 to claw some of the deficit back they need to avoid relegation to the C Division

High Break for the B Division Robbie Harris 61

In the leagues other game Thrybergh eased their relegation worries with a 4-1 win at Pewter Pot
