Autumn is a great time of year to be out to catch carp. With the nights drawing in, misty lakes in the mornings as the air temp is lower than the water temp, the carps body clock is telling them winter is not to far away.

There have been many discussions about the Autumn feed up and how its different in modern times compared to old. Whatever you think, the carp know winter is coming and need to eat, so there is always a good chance of getting into them.

Team Member Jason MaClean, ex match angler now turned carper has started well and got a result! Not to bad at all especially as there was only one other fish out on the lake during the 24 hours Jason was there. Here is what Jason had to say ⬇️

I fished 24hrs last Friday at Wyreside on Foxes Lake peg 4, which resulted in one bite for a 24lb mirror on the bank mid afternoon. I fished at 13 wraps on a Hutchy solid bag using fishery 2mm pellet with a Rod Hutchinson Naturalz Fluoro wafter which I trimmed down to around 10mm.

Team Member Steve C**k was back out on Chilham Mill recently. Steve was disturbed from his bed at 1am to go on to land this lovely common at 26lb 15oz. Caught on a LT pop-up over LT chops & pellets doused in h**p oil & LT liquid carp food.

Team Member Rob Griffin managed an overnighter inbetween work.
Rob bagged this lovely looking 29lb common on an Apriberry Pop-up, spooned out onto some showing fish with some LT boilie crumb. A perfect little trap to nick this one by the time Rob needed to pack up and head back off for work.

Team Member Steve Daykin has been back on his travels again over the channel. Another fabulous session was had by Steve with plenty of action. Here is what Steve had to say ⬇️

Arrived refreshed at Domaine de la Ribiere after a Friday night stop over in Limoges - few beers and an awesome meal .
After getting the run down - low water levels- crayfish and hard fishing for that time of year it was clear there were a lot of fish holed up in swims 1 & 2
Coming out first in the draw helped and quickly went in swim 2 .
After finding a silty spot around 35 yds from the far bank I baited heavily with my last remaining LT boilie/ pellet and particle and put all 3 rods in a line on the spot with popped up corn toppers over the spot alongside a full boat load over each .
Feeding morning and evening with around 5 kg of boilie plus a boat full of mix every fish resulted in 18 fish throughout the week at regular intervals from around 12 lunchtime until around 6 pm with only 1 night time fish
2 x 20s, 7 x 30s, 7 x 40s & 2 x 50s made up an unbelieveable weeks fishing
A total of 85 kg boilie, 3 x sacks of pellet and 40 kg maize / particle did the business .
First time to Ribiere but it certainly won’t be my last!

Team Member Simon Dring had a quiet last week but more than made up for it, when he landed one of the A Team at 40lb 1oz.
Simple PVA bags of pellet and crumbled LT boilies deployed to an area where Simon has noted fish over the last couple of weeks.
