It’s with deepest sadness that I have to announce the end of Pen*stone Church Ladies, we’ve experienced an emotional rollercoaster within the past three years spent at the club.
I’ve had to make a difficult decision for the upcoming season and moving forward as a team this was the only option, we’ve tried every possible avenue to resolve ongoing difficulties.
We hope moving forward regarding the Pen*stone girls this gets resolved in the near future and we wish them the best of luck for the upcoming season.
I’d like to thank Pen*stone on behalf of the ladies for the last three seasons and we wish the club all the very best for the future!
In addition to this, we are working hard to ensure the current squad are moving in the right direction with new challenges ahead... Watch this space! ⚽️

Match report-
The ladies are unlucky in a 2-1 defeat this afternoon against a mediocre Millmoor. The Penigals started off brightly and had the better possession and chances in the opening 20 minutes but were undone to a lack of communication and went down 1-0. We pressed hard for an equaliser and with good pressure from Tiegan forced their keeper into mistake leaving Lb to cooly slot home to make it 1-1 before half time! The game stretched in the second half and unfortunately we couldn’t find our rhythm with the game been a lot stop start which didn’t suit our style of play. We were beaten by a 35 yarder with five minutes to spare and just couldn’t find that cutting edge to find an equaliser.
Manager Soph’s thoughts on the game-
I thought we had some real quality in the first half and put some nice phases of play together, I asked the ladies to work as a team rather than individually in their pressing and support play and it was nice to see us score form something we’re trying to work on. Obviously I’m disappointed with the result but we’ll put it right in a few weeks time when we head to Millmoor. We’re still a working progress but I couldn’t be more proud of the ladies! Over and out 😆
