Yesterday marked the official end of our 2025/26 season as we came together for our Presentation Evening.

It was a great night celebrating the players, volunteers and everyone who has played a part in the season both on and off the pitch.

🏆 Players' Player of the Season: Libby Gregory (Sponsored by Forge Roofing)
This year's voting was incredibly close, with just one vote separating the top contenders. Libby narrowly took home the award and is a thoroughly deserving winner after a fantastic season.

🏆 Manager's Player of the Season: Libby Gregory (Sponsored by Forge Roofing)
A well-deserved winner after finding her position this season and producing consistent performances throughout the campaign.

⚽ Golden Boot Award: Caz Norton
Our top goalscorer for the season, finding the net 10 times and playing a crucial role in some important moments throughout the season.

📈 Most Improved Player: Gracie Moss
After stepping up into open-age football during the second half of the season, Gracie embraced the challenge with confidence and determination. She adapted brilliantly to the women's game, worked hard every week, and thoroughly deserved this recognition.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the ladies throughout the season. To our supporters who backed us week in, week out, Emma and Jo for running the café on matchdays, our management team for all their hard work behind the scenes, and of course our players for their commitment, effort and dedication all season long.

Thank you all for being part of another brilliant season. We look forward to seeing what 2026/27 has in store. ❤️⚽

MATCH REPORT | Sheffield United Community Ladies vs Staveley Miners Welfare Ladies 1st ⚔️⚽️

Yesterdays final game of the season saw United take on league winners Staveley Miners Welfare Ladies in a competitive and hard-fought contest.

From the first whistle, the game was evenly matched, with both sides creating chances and testing each other in front of goal. United looked sharp going forward while staying organised at the back, matching the league leaders throughout.

United’s opener came from a well-delivered corner into the box, where Saffron Spence rose well and headed the ball into the net to give United the lead. Staveley responded not long before the break, finding an equaliser to send the teams in level at half time.

Half time: United 1–1 Staveley

The second half followed a similar pattern, with both sides continuing to create opportunities but unable to convert them into goals.

United’s back line put in a solid performance, consistently breaking down Staveley’s attempts to push forward. The midfield worked tirelessly, tracking play and helping to build attacking moves, while the forwards created some dangerous chances in front of goal. Despite the effort from both teams, neither side could find a winner.

Full time: United 1–1 Staveley

⭐ Player of the Match: Emily Barker (sponsored by Charterfields) – a strong performance up top, looking dangerous, reading the game well, and putting in a great all-round shift. 👏

MATCH REPORT | Sheffield United Community Ladies vs Rotherham United Women U21 ⚔️⚽️

Sunday’s away trip to Rotherham saw United face tough conditions in the heat, but the team came out strong and fully in control from the first whistle.

United completely dominated the first half, moving the ball well and creating chances with some really positive attacking play. The opener came from a great run through midfield by Emily Barker (sponsored by Charterfields), who played a well-timed ball down the right for Caz Norton. Caz made no mistake, lifting a brilliant lob over the keeper to give United the lead.

The second goal was a great team play, starting from the back and working its way up the pitch. The ball found Caz Norton again, who calmly slotted home into the bottom corner, this time assisted by Emily Hatherly after some strong work down the left.

United made it three before the break from a well-worked throw-in. Hannah Lumley delivered a dangerous ball into the box, and Emily Barker connected cleanly on the volley to give United a deserved 3–0 lead at half time.

Half time: United 3–0 Rotherham

The second half was a different story. A questionable penalty decision early on gave Rotherham a way back into the game, and from there, they started to build some momentum. United found it harder to get back into the same rhythm as the first half, while Rotherham took their chances well.

Despite the strong first-half performance, the game finished level.

Full time: United 3–3 Rotherham

⭐ Player of the Match: Emily Hatherly – a great shift down the left, creating chances and picking up a well-deserved assist. 👏
