Protect their homes.
- Report people starting fires to Firestoppers on 0800 169 5558. This is anonymous.
- Leave the BBQ at home. They aren't allowed in most open spaces anyway.
- Do not have garden bonfires. The conditions are totally unsuitable and they threaten lives and property.
- Take rubbish with you and dispose of ci******es carefully

🎉 10,000 items delivered. 🎉
We're proud to celebrate a major milestone for our Beds for Babies programme, with 10,000 items delivered to families across South Yorkshire.
Since launching, the programme has provided essential items including Moses baskets, cots, cot beds, toddler beds, bedding bundles and sleeping bags, helping to ensure children aged 0-5 have a safe space to sleep.
Beds for Babies is a partnership approach, bringing together organisations from across the public, private and voluntary sectors to support families and give every child the best possible start in life.
A huge thank you to our partners, including Baby Basics Sheffield who do a fantastic job of coordinating the projects frontline processes, IKEA (Sheffield) who donate stock and MattressOnline who provide deliveries of beds. Thank you to the many other organisations, services and volunteers who have also helped make this achievement possible. 💙
Together, we're making a real difference for families across South Yorkshire.

The consultation on South Yorkshire's Local Nature Recovery Strategy has now closed.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to the more than 2,000 people who shared their views, as well as the hundreds more we spoke to at events, in schools, and in communities across South Yorkshire.
Every single response will help shape the future of our nature. All responses will now be carefully reviewed and used to inform the final strategy, which will be published later this year.
