Winners of the Bob Johnson trophy this afternoon.

With 18 members taking part they were split into two grourps off three with the winners contesing the final.

Group A was won by Margaret B, Barry A and Steve C.

Group B was tighter and on a countback Angela, Brenda and Barry R made it through to the final.

Steve triple winning 7 shots to 1 after the six ends.

The club played its final friendly of the season with a visit to Letchworth Conservatives club. With the home club only having 7 players we lent them one and played a two rink mixed game. With the weather bad and raining there was stoppages after 7 evens for an early tea and cake. We came out after and played another 6 ends before the heavens opened up again and the captains decided to call it a day with Shefford leading by 24 shots to 21.

Libby, Dave Att, Aaron and Barry drawing 13 shots each.

Steve B, Wendy, Colin and John were winning 11 shots to 8.

No more action on the green now until Wednesday afternoon when 18 members take part in the Bob Johnson trophy at 2pm.

The men's semi-final this morning was the last of the clubs semis.

Dave Atterbury, Barry and Richard beat Paul, Steve C and John by 23 shots to 18.

This afternoon the club travelled to play St Andrews in a four rink game and came away losing by 79 shots to 63.

Steve B , Steve C and Colin lost 19 shots to 22

Jeff, Andrew and Aaron won 17 shots to 15

Angela, Derek and Gary lost 17 shots to 22

Connie, Andy and Barry lost 10 shots to 20

The club plays their last friendly of the season tomorrow, when they travelled to play Letchworth Con in a three rink mixed triples game starting at 2-30.

10am sees the semi-final of the men's triples and at 2-30 the club travel to play St Andrews in a four rink triples game.

Result of tonight's Adam & Eve saw Maureen and Dave beat Anglela and John by 22 shots to 16, in a game of two halves.

They now go on to play Sandra and Aaron in the final.

The final semi-final takes place tomorrow morning at 10am is the men's triples.

Results of yesterdays two semi finals are as follows:-

In the afternoon Libby and Kay beat Margaret B and Sandra by 26 shots to 8 and now play Sue H and Shay on finals weekend.

I the evening saw a men's four woods semi-final between Colln and Zak. Zak took an early lead only for Colin to pull it back and take a three shot lead after 18ends. With the light fading very quickly and with the floodlights on both players were level after 23 ends at 18 all. Zak then put four woods within two feet of the jack and with Colin four woods all being short Zak pick up a four to win the game. It was a good game just a pity about the light.

This afternoon at 4pm sees another semi-final being played. This time its and Adam & Eve game between Maureen & Dave playing Angela and John, with the winners going on to play Sandra & Aaron in the final.

Yesterday the club had a four mixed triples game at home to Stotfold and lost a close game 70 shots to 68.

Maureen, Barry A and Gary won 19 shots to 14

Libby, Keith G and Derek won 21 shots to 16

Angela, Steve B and Bob lost 14 shots to 23

Ann, Keith P and Jeff lost 14 shots to 17

One club game was played with Paul beating Andy by 21 shots to 7 and now goes on to play Zak in the final of the presidents cup on finals weekend.

A couple of games today starts off with a ladies pairs game at 2pm. Libby and Kay play Margaret B and Sandra in the semi - final with the winners playing Sue H and Shay in the final.

One men's four woods take place tonight at 5-30 with Zak playing Colin, with the winners playing Mike S in the final.

Today sees the club at home to Stotfold in a four rink mixed triples game starting at 2pm.

In the evening at 5-30pm Paul plays Andy in the semi-final of the presidents cup.
