YDGS 8th Open Championship 2026 🏌🏼♂️⛳️🏌🏼♀️

We would like to thank SignWow for their support this year by sponsoring us. As you can see, we had beautiful light blue polo shirts, which all our members wore on the day.
First of all, the committee and members of YDGS would like to thank the many players who attended this year’s Open Championship. We were delighted to welcome a total of 45 entries.
We would also like to thank Moor Allerton Golf Club for their fantastic facilities and course, and for the excellent support they provided throughout the day.
The weather was up and down throughout the day - dry, sunny, rainy, and with strong winds - but thankfully, the entire event ran smoothly. We would like to thank all the committee members for their hard work in ensuring the event was such a success.
A special thank you also goes to our committee team, who helped with everything from start to finish. We would also like to give a special thank you to Matthew Monkman, who helped with managing the tee times and handing out the scorecards. Without your support, the day would not have been possible.
Most importantly, everyone at YDGS would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the visiting players who continue to support our Open Championship events. Your continued support means a great deal to us, and we truly appreciate all the feedback we received.
