Your Division 5 Hurricanes CHAMPIONS!!! 🏆 after the rain forced an abandoned game, Walmer CC secured the points to win the league! A huge congratulations to every player that has played a part over the season for this amazing achievement! 🏏 👏

We had a wonderful evening celebrating our juniors tonight. Entering our second year under a new coaching team we are now just shy of 40 juniors! 👏 Thank you to all the parents/careers and children who have been involved in making it such a success. Shoutout to our coaches Jack, Andy G, Andy C, Toby, Joe, Graeme and Will. Special thanks to our club president Jen who opened the bar every week! It has been a delight watching every player’s confidence grow throughout this season, from making their first senior debuts to finally hitting the ball it’s been a pleasure to watch! Hopefully onto bigger things next season! 🏏

Last leagues games this Saturday for both teams. The 2s travel to away to Nelson CC, with a massive game for the 1s at home. Sitting top of the table, playing 2nd of the table needing 5 points become league CHAMPIONS 🏆. An exciting way to end an incredible league campaign. Sunday we have a short travel to Sandwich 🏏

Last weekend results were a good one for the first team who are closing in on a title win this season! Kieran Marsh adding another century to his tally with 109 runs, with Toby and Tom adding to their wicket totals. Sunday Man of the Match Joe Birkett enjoyed the day with 161 not out in the field followed by 72 from Mark Birkett. The Hill duo taking 5 wickets between them helping secure the win. Sunday away side saw a last ball defeat away to Broadstairs but still some good cricket was played 👏🏏
