** Mum, you seem happier...**
Hey hey fans,
Kids notice EVERYTHING, don't they? ๐
(Little surveilance cameras with opinions ...)
And sometimes they'll spot a change in you before you even properly notice it yourself.
Kate joined FitBody wanting to improve her fitness and confidence...
But she had another reason too.
She wanted to be a better role model for her daughter.
Fast forward a little while and her 10-year-old recently said something to her that I absolutely LOoooVE...
"You seem happier and have more energy on the days you go to the gym."
๐ฅน
I'll take that as a result ALL. DAY. LONG.
Here's Kate's little 'Story So Far'...
What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody, Kate?
I wanted to improve my fitness, self confidence and also be a better role model for my daughter.
Whatโs the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
I've learnt that exercise can actually be fun!
The sessions go by so quickly and the variety of different exercises keeps everything fresh.
The other ladies are so welcoming and friendly too.
I'm quite an introvert, so going to new places and meeting new people can be slightly daunting, but I didn't feel like that here. I felt at home with everyone straight away.
I've recently had a two-week break while I was on holiday and I actually found myself missing the sessions!
I never thought I'd be saying that ๐
I'm very happy to be back.
What results did you achieve?
I've noticed a real improvement in my stamina and strength.
I've lost kilos and centimetres and I'm feeling much better in myself.
But one of the nicest results actually came from my 10-year-old daughter, who recently said:
"You seem happier and have more energy on the days you go to the gym."
Considering one of the reasons I joined was to be a better role model for her, that means a lot.
Me again ๐โโ๏ธ
Of all the results Kate mentioned...
That last one wins for me.
Yep, she's lost weight and centimetres.
She's stronger.
Her stamina's improved.
She feels better in herself.
But her 10-year-old daughter has noticed that Mum seems happier and has more energy.
That's pretty special.
And there's another bit of Kate's story I think is worth mentioning...
She's an introvert (Hello from a fellow introvert ๐)
Walking into somewhere new, surrounded by people she doesn't know, isn't naturally her idea of fun.
Yet she said:
"I felt at home with them straight away."
And after two weeks away on holiday...
She actually MISSED coming to FitBody.
From being nervous about walking through the door...
..to missing it when she can't come.
I reckon we'll take that ๐
Awesome work Kate ๐ช๐ช
If the thought of walking into somewhere new makes you nervous too, don't let that be the thing that stops you.
DM "INFO" and I'll run you through exactly what happens when you start.
Nick "Even Missing The Gym Now" Slater
P.S. You might start for the kilos and centimetres. But feeling happier, stronger and having more energy for the people you love? That's the good stuff. Reply INFO if you'd like to get started.

**The perimenopause "tummy tyre"**
Hey hey fans,
I've got another little 'Story So Far' for you today...
And Andrea's reasons for joining were refreshingly straightforward.
Get fitter.
Improve how she felt about her body.
Keep her weight under control.
And, in Andrea's words...
"Try and do something about the "tummy tyre" that seems to arrive around perimenopause"
Fair enough.
But what's happened since she started is probably more interesting...
She's exercising regularly.
She's trying things she'd NEVER have done by herself.
She's got more energy.
And...
She's actually enjoying it.
Have a read ๐
What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody, Andrea?
I joined FitBody because I wanted to become fitter all round, improve how my body looked and get better control of my weight.
I also wanted to do something about that tummy tyre us ladies seem to get around peri-menopause!
I wanted to become more mentally focused when exercising, set myself a goal and, most importantly, actually get into a routine of exercising regularly.
Whatโs the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that you have to put the effort in and push yourself during the circuits โ but you can actually enjoy doing it!
I'm doing exercises I would never have even considered doing by myself, which keeps it fun and I've discovered muscles I didn't know I had!
I've also learned more about the food side of things.
The food menu is excellent โ although I somehow managed to completely miss it in my first week ....so if you're nervous about starting, don't be, everyone is really friendly and there's genuinely nothing to worry about.
What results did you achieve?
I've lost a bit of weight so far, I'm feeling much more energised and I'm really enjoying the training.
I'd never even measured my body before starting FitBody, so I'm now looking at progress differently rather than only thinking about the scales.
Most importantly, I'm exercising regularly, feeling fitter and actually enjoying what I'm doing.
Me again ๐โโ๏ธ
There's loads I like about Andrea's update.
She's lost 1kg.
She's feeling more energised.
She's learning about food.
She's exercising regularly.
All good stuff.
But this bit stood out to me:
"Doing exercises I would never consider, which makes it fun."
That's a big part of why we do FitBody the way we do.
Walk into a normal gym by yourself and what tends to happen?
You gravitate towards the few things you already know how to do.
Do them for a bit.
Get bored.
Go home.
At FitBody, you don't need to figure any of that out.
We do the thinking.
You turn up.
Follow the session.
Try things you probably wouldn't have tried yourself.
And occasionally discover a muscle you didn't know existed until it starts complaining the following morning ๐
Andrea also said something I'd really like anyone who's nervous about joining to hear:
"Everyone is very friendly โ no need to worry starting."
Straight from someone who's actually done it.
Awesome work Andrea โ keep going ๐ช๐ช
[First Name], if you're fed up of trying to figure exercise out by yourself, don't.
Reply "INFO" and I'll show you how FitBody works.
Nick "We Do The Thinking" Slater
P.S. You don't need to know what exercises to do before you join us. That's rather the point ๐ Reply or DM INFO and let's get you started.

** November 2023 โ August 2026 **
Hey hey fans,
I've got a slightly different 'Story So Far' for you today...
Because normally when I send these, the person has been with us for 4, 5, maybe 6 weeks.
Not this one.
She walked through the doors for the first time in November 2023.
She'd tried gyms before.
Got bored.
Stopped going.
And this time she simply wanted to find a way of staying strong and healthy as the years rolled on.
Fast forward almost THREE YEARS...
She's still here.
Still training three times a week.
And, as you'll see...
She's gained considerably more than a few muscles along the way ๐
What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody, Emma?
Walking into my first FitBody session in November 2023, I didn't realise the impact it was going to have on my life.
I was nervous, but I was looking for a way to stay healthy, boost my muscle mass and load my bones regularly so that I didn't turn into a frail old lady as the decades moved forward!
I'd been to gyms before, but I always got bored and never really felt like they were doing me any good.
FitBody was different.
Everyone was so welcoming that I didn't feel nervous after the first five minutes.
Nobody's looking at what you look like, everybody's really supportive and everyone's prepared to laugh at themselves.
Whatโs the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
The biggest lesson I've learned is that exercise doesn't have to be something you get bored of or force yourself to do.
Almost three years later, I'm still going regularly three times a week.
The exercises are always changing, it's never boring, everybody's friendly and the number of session options means I can fit it around my busy schedule.
I've also made some great, probably lifelong friends along the way.
FitBody has given me a really fun way to do something I know is important โ staying fit, strong and healthy for as long as possible.
What results did you achieve?
The first thing I noticed was my ability to lift things.
I was no longer struggling with overhead lockers on flights, shopping bags or heavy duvet covers.
Almost three years later, I feel stronger and healthier than ever.
I might ache after a session, but gone are the niggles of backache, frozen shoulders and tennis elbow.
For me, it was never about losing weight. I just wanted to firm everything up a bit โ and I've certainly done that!
I have a core and greatly reduced jiggling arms ๐
Most importantly, I want to stay fit and healthy for as long as possible, and FitBody has given me a really fun way to do it.
Me again ๐โโ๏ธ
Nearly three years.
That's what I love
Because it's relatively easy to get excited about something new for a few weeks, we all know that.
The real test is...
Are you still doing it years later?
And she is.
Three times a week.
Stronger.
Healthier.
More capable in everyday life.
She's made friends.
She's got a core ๐
And apparently the jiggling arms have taken a significant hit too.
But this line probably sums the whole thing up:
"I want to stay fit and healthy for as long as possible."
That's a pretty bloody good reason to train.
Not for next month's holiday.
Not because the scales told you to.
But because 10, 20, 30 years from now...
You still want your body to let you DO stuff.
Awesome work ๐๐ช
Nick "Future-Proofing Humans" Slater
P.S. You don't have to want to lose weight to join FitBody. Wanting to stay strong, capable and healthy for as long as possible is MORE than enough reason.
P.P.S If you'd quite like to be stronger, fitter and more capable a few years from now than you are today... start now.
DM or comment "INFO" and I'll show you how FitBody works.

**I'm achieving more than I thought**
Hey hey fans,
Got another little 'Story So Far' for you today ๐โโ๏ธ
And I like this one because Tanya's goals when she started were pretty simple...
More energy.
Get fitter.
Lose a bit of weight.
Feel better.
The only slight snag?
Like most of us, she's got a busy working week to fit all that around ๐
Turns out, she's managing it rather well...
What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody, Tanya?
I wanted to have more energy and motivation to do things... also wanted to lose weight, and get fitter.
Whatโs the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
I can achieve fitting exercise classes into my busy working week and still feel motivated to go to classes!
What results did you achieve?
I've lost belly fat, but mainly have got stronger and feel better about myself.
Still have a long way to go, but so far, this is really making me feel better and healthier, and I'm achieving more than I thought.
The sessions are actually really good fun, and the coaches are both amazing and push you to do your best.
Me again ๐โโ๏ธ
Short and sweet from Tanya, but I LOoooVE this bit:
"I'm achieving more than I thought."
She's fitting the sessions around a busy working week.
She's stronger.
She's losing belly fat.
She's feeling healthier and better about herself.
And importantly...
She's actually enjoying herself while she's doing it.
Not bad going ๐
Awesome work Tanya, keep going ๐ช๐ช
Nick "More Than She Thought" Slater
P.S. If you're reading this thinking "I'd love to do it, I just don't know how I'd fit it in..." โ Tanya wondered the same thing. Reply INFO and I'll show you how it works.

400 times getting it done ๐ช

**A refreshing take on fitness...**
Can I ask you something fans?...
When did the fitness industry become so... exhausting?
Every advert seems to promise six-pack abs in 28 days, 12 days, 7 days....24hrs
Apparently all you need is "this one weird trick."
I reckon most women don't want any of that.
They just want somewhere they feel comfortable, supported, and able to get a little bit fitter.
This testimonial landed in my inbox this week, and I thought...
"Yep... this pretty much sums up FitBody."
Meet Liz
What problem were you trying to solve by coming to FitBody, Liz?
I'd been out of exercise for quite a while.
Life had thrown up a few unexpected things, and getting back into a routine felt a bit daunting.
I knew I needed to do something to get my energy levels back, but the moment I started looking around I was hit with endless ads promising miracle transformations, usually fronted by super-fit people half my age!
Then I came across FitBody.
Their approach felt realistic, down to earth, and based on practical knowledge rather than empty promises.
That was exactly what I was looking for.
Whatโs the BIGGEST lesson you learned while at FitBody?
The biggest lesson I've learned is that getting back into exercise doesn't have to be intimidating.
From the moment I walked into my first session I felt welcome.
It's a genuinely supportive, ego-free environment where everyone works at their own level.
Every exercise can be adapted to suit your ability, and the extra support around nutrition and mindset is there if you want it.
I've realised that fitness doesn't have to be about being the fittest person in the room.
It's simply about turning up and gradually getting stronger.
What results did you achieve?
Just six weeks later, I'm definitely feeling stronger and I'm seeing the results.
My energy levels have improved, I'm enjoying exercising again, and I've found something that genuinely fits around my life.
Every workout is different, the session times are flexible, and probably the biggest surprise...It's actually enjoyable.
The internet promised miracles...Liz just wanted realistic.
Nick "No Miracles Required" Slater
P.S. Fitness doesn't have to feel intimidating. It just needs to feel achievableโฆmessage INFO & Iโll send it over
