🏏👏 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS JIM! 👏🏏

A massive congratulations to Frankwell’s very own Jim Porter, our Lead Junior Coordinator, who has been named August Volunteer of the Month! 🙌💙💛

Jim’s dedication to the club has been nothing short of outstanding. Under his leadership, our junior section has grown from just 35 players in 2023 to more than 100 in 2026 – an incredible achievement and a huge part of the future of Frankwell CC. 🏏

But Jim’s contribution goes far beyond junior cricket. He’s been heavily involved in improvements to the clubhouse and pavilion, supported countless areas across the club and, most importantly, helped create more opportunities for young people to get involved in cricket.

A thoroughly deserved award for someone who gives so much time and energy to Frankwell.

Congratulations Jim – we’re incredibly proud to have you as part of the club! 👏

Over 1,000 runs and plenty of memorable knocks along the way, but Clarke’s contribution to Frankwell has been about much more than what happened in the middle.

Whether it was enjoying a few pints with the lads 🍻, getting involved around the club or giving his time to support and encourage our juniors, Clarke has thrown himself into life at Frankwell and has been a real joy to have around the place.

A top cricketer, a top bloke and now firmly part of the Frankwell family. ❤️

🏏🍻 END OF SEASON SOCIAL 🍻🏏

A cracking night to round off the 2026 season as the Frankwell crew took to the River Severn aboard the Sabrina! 🚤

A brilliant turnout, plenty of laughs and, unsurprisingly, plenty of beers enjoyed by everyone involved. 🍺

For once, the only thing getting hit for six was the bar tab… and thankfully nobody ended up being given out caught in the river. 😂

A massive thank you to all the players, volunteers, supporters and everyone behind the scenes who made the season what it was.

Great way to finish the year with a top group of people.

🏏 2026 SEASON COMPLETE 💙💛

That’s a wrap on the 2026 season for Frankwell CC.

1st XI:
Frankwell headed to Shelton with plenty still to play for and controlled the game for long spells. Clarke Alaimo led the way with 56 as the 1s posted 205.

With Yuri Pugh ripping through the middle order, victory looked on the cards, but Shelton’s lower order dug in to finish 96-8 and hold on for a losing draw.

2nd XI:
The 2s hosted Harpers in their final game of the season and were bowled out for 163. Lee Pickford finished unbeaten on 46*, while James Pulford added a quick 34 from 23.

Jayden Graham’s four wickets kept Frankwell right in the contest, but Harpers eventually got over the line with two wickets remaining.

3rd XI:
The 3s welcomed Cound for a crucial final fixture. Mohammad Taha Sohail top scored with 40, while stand-in skipper Dan Hanna-Davies made 33 as Frankwell reached 147.

A few wickets through the middle kept things interesting, but Cound completed the chase with five wickets in hand.

And with that, another season comes to an end.

A huge thank you to every player who pulled on a Frankwell shirt this year, every volunteer who gave up their time behind the scenes, and every supporter who came down, followed the teams and backed the club throughout 2026.

Plenty of highs, a few lows, and a lot of memories along the way.

Thank you, 2026. See you next season. 💙💛🏏

A dominant performance against Bomere Heath, who were bowled out for just 73.

A brilliant unbeaten stand from the youngsters saw the 2s cruise home with nine wickets to spare.

3rd XI – LOST by 8 wickets
A tough day away at Oswestry, with Frankwell bowled out for 99 before the hosts chased the target inside 14 overs.

Next up is a huge game against Cound, with both sides fighting to avoid relegation.
