One Bike. One Family. One Incredible VMXdN Adventure.

We’re incredibly proud to be supporting this awesome project heading to VMXdN Hawkstone.

This Yamaha YZ250 has a very special story behind it.

Aaron Patstone #150 would normally be the rider throwing a leg over this bike, but unfortunately an injury has put Aaron on the sidelines. Instead, his dad Stuart and uncle Keith have continued the hard work behind the scenes, building and preparing the bike to take on one of the biggest two-stroke motocross events around.

And what makes this even more special? will be riding the YZ250 at VMXdN.

At Tamworth Yamaha, supporting riders and being involved in projects like this is what race support is all about.

We can't wait to see the Tamworth Yamaha YZ250 on the Hawkstone Park start gate.

Good luck to Mike, Aaron, Stuart and Keith — we'll be behind you all the way!

Bring on VMXdN Hawkstone!

Rob Herring is getting prepared for the OG Vets race - the Farleigh Castle Vets MX as the two-stroke season gets into full flow.

Rob Herring needs no introduction to the MX fraternity. When he burst onto the British MX scene in the mid-80s on his Blue Stratos Kawasaki, the flamboyant Herring, who had grown up in the South African SX scene, was a breath of fresh air, bringing an American style and aggression to our shores.

In his career, he was an eleven-time British champion and multi-time Team Great Britain Motocross Des Nations member, both as a rider and team manager - though the highlight has to be the 1994 upset, where he was part of the winning squad that toppled the American domination of the event. Since retiring, he has worked as a stuntman and film cameraman on many Hollywood blockbusters, including the Bond and Jason Bourne franchises.

Rob has remained the most approachable and down-to-earth racer and an asset to any event, and we welcome him to the Farleigh Castle Vets lineup.

With preparations in full swing for the original Vets race, now into its 17th consecutive year and the third back under the new management team, things are looking on the up and up.

And just to clarify that this event is 100% on, the promoters have a comprehensive watering plan in place, with plenty of time ahead of the event should the recent spell of dry weather continue; either way, it's ON, rain or shine. Anyone who has ridden the last two events can attest that the track conditions were perfect, and the promoters take this very seriously to ensure the conditions are as good as possible.

The feature race of the biggest weekend in vets motocross is shaping up to be one of the most fiercely contested in the event’s history. Squads representing nations, regions and rider collectives from across the UK, Europe and the USA will go bar-to-bar for International Team Race honours on the legendary Hawkstone Park Grand Prix circuit on August bank holiday weekend, with a roll call that blends former world champions, GP winners, national heroes and a few wildcard characters who are far quicker than their reputations suggest.

Leading the headlines is the aptly named World Champions squad, uniting Christophe Pourcel, Alessio Chiodi and David Philippaerts, a genuine world-title collection on one gate that makes them the team every other squad will be racing against. Team USA counters with the professional pedigree of Jeremy Martin, Mike Alessi and Ryan Sipes, while the home nations field strong representation across Team GB, Team Wales, Team Scotland and Team IOM, the latter seeing the McCanney brothers return alongside Gavin Hunt.

Elsewhere, the entry list is packed with storylines. The Milsaps Training Facility squad heads into the weekend with a late change, after an injury to their originally announced third rider saw British MX stalwart Neville Bradshaw drafted in alongside team captain Steven Clarke and Anthony Rodriguez. Team 69 brings AMA National regular Keith Johnson together with Ryan Hunt and the unmistakable Ronnie Mac, who, despite the showmanship, is a fully committed racer once the gate drops. Two of the biggest AMCA championship outfits, FUS and AJP, have joined forces for the weekend, and squads from Holland and Munster Ireland round out a genuinely international field.

The overall picture is clear: this year’s International Team Race is stacked from top to bottom.

See you there

For years he’s asked us for more sand!

He runs Southwick -aka “The Wick 338”, one of the most legendary deep-sand circuits in America, based in Massachusetts. Keith knows sand better than almost anyone: he first raced as a kid in 1977, turned pro in 1988, and went on to race the AMA Pro Motocross series for 16 years. He’s also a seven-time Loretta Lynn’s national champion, with titles across the Junior 25+ and 35+ Vet classes, and has notched wins internationally too, including podiums in the Canadian CMRC MX1 Pro series.

So when it comes to sand racing, Keith Johnson knows a thing or two.

He’s always fired up for VMXdN, but this year he’s especially pumped; Hawkstone Park brings some of the best sandy terrain in the UK, with conditions much closer to home turf than most. He’s not holding back either: he’s shipped his own KX500 over to the UK to be ready for the +50 class.

Catch Keith going bar-to-bar at VMXdN Hawkstone, August 27–30.

One week today…
Let that sink in for a second.

Next Thursday, the VMXdN 2026 weekend gets underway, and Hawkstone Park will be absolutely buzzing.

Seven days. 168 hours. That’s all that stands between you and the greatest motocross event of the year. The racing. The atmosphere. The two-stroke noise that gets right into your soul and refuses to leave.

If you’ve got your tickets - get excited. Very excited.
If you’ve not got your tickets, there is still time.

We’re down to the final stages: releasing the team race entry lists, and the Wright Engineering class is one where the storylines write themselves.

Defending champions Stolen Yamaha head into 2026 chasing back-to-back honours after a run that reads like a form guide: 3rd in 2023, 2nd in 2024, and the elusive WIN in 2025. Carson Brown leads the charge again, now joined by MX1 British Championship regular Bobby Bruce and MX2 rookie Jamie Keith, a team built to keep that #1 plate right where it is.
But they won’t have it easy. 11 other teams are lining up to take them down, including Wainwright (Howard, Jamie & Shaun going bar-to-bar as family), Otto Offroad, Fathead Racing, and internationally-flavoured squads like Team IOM (the McCanney brothers) and 1664 Developments.

Team racing is always the highlight of the weekend - era-correct 2-strokes, bar-to-bar action, and everything on the line.

Don’t miss it.
