The international teams are always the highlight of the event as the feature race, and with former World Champion Steven Clarke as team captain for the MTF (Millsaps Training Facility) squad, they are sure to be in contention when the gate drops. Brad Smith takes up the +40 slot in the squad alongside Clarke and Anthony Rodriguez, but don't think for a second that Smith is a weak link. He finished 2nd in the uber-competitive +40 class at the prestigious Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals in Tennessee last year, and he is the track builder at the Millsaps facility, so he knows his way around. He isn't coming all this way to mess about on the CR 250 supplied by the Clarke family!

Whether you’re a die-hard two-stroke devotee or simply a fan of motorsport at its most thrilling and nostalgic, VMXdN Hawkstone is the unmissable motocross event of the 2026 calendar. From Thursday’s gate opening through to Sunday’s final race, the August Bank Holiday weekend promises world-class racing, legends of the sport within arm’s reach, a buzzing trade village, open paddocks, and the spectacular Show ‘N’ Shine, all set against the iconic backdrop of Hawkstone Park. With international and national team races drawing former pros from across the globe, this is your chance to witness motocross history being made on the very same hallowed ground that shaped it.

There are a handful of awesome VIP camping spots still available, but keep securing yours. These are located on the terraced area in between the hill and the start gate in full view of the finish line. These spots have the best viewing of the whole venue as the action unfolds on track; you can relax in the comfort of your own area and watch the racing! Certainly not an opportunity to be missed. There are also standard camping spots, and the promoters have once again secured further fields for camping adjacent to the circuit, so there's now plenty of room.

Tickets are on sale now, and with an event of this pedigree, they won’t hang around. Secure yours today and be part of what promises to be the greatest gathering of vintage motocross the sport has ever seen.

We are thrilled to welcome CamelBak to the VMXdN Hawkstone 2026 family as a sponsor.

The former FIM World and AMA SX Champion Christophe Pourcel is confirmed to return to race at the biggest and widely regarded as the best MX event on the calendar, VMXdN, which is held this year at the historic Shropshire Hawkstone Park Grand Prix circuit.

CP377, as he is affectionately known, was the 2006 FIM World Champion and King of Bercy, the same year, which he then followed up with two back-to-back East Coast Supercross titles in 2009 and 2010, to cement his position as one of the most naturally talented French racers, a tough ask when you're talked about in the same sentence as JMB.

Anyone who saw his smooth and flawless performance on a stock KX 250 at the 2025 event will be excited to see Pourcel in action at one of his favourite tracks in the UK, Hawkstone Park. Pourcel, who will be 38 when the gate drops on the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 27th -30th), is already practising on his two-stroke. He will race the same 2001 KX 250 he raced to three out of four victories in the highly competitive international team race in 2025, which will be supplied and run by Cristiano Bonacina, from Turin.

For 2026, he will be part of an all-new team; look out for news on this one!

There are just thirteen weeks to go before the gate drops on the 2026 event. Rider announcement news comes every week from here on in, and the anticipation for the most talked-about motocross race on the British MX calendar only increases. Spectator tickets are available online and will also be available at the gate, but anyone wishing to camp for the weekend is urged to secure a camping pass asap to avoid disappointment, as there are limited standard camping spots available. There are a handful of the new VIP slots still available. VIP camping is situated on the terraced area between the hill and the start gate with a view over the whole circuit.

The Range and the CDS Group need no introduction to the VMXdN fans and return as main sponsors in 2026. The Range, Homebase and Wilko are household names and will be returning with their big articulated trailer for the bank holiday weekend.

Their team and pop-up shop will be on site all weekend, ready to supply us with every essential we could possibly forget – and even some delightful non-essentials to make the most of the race weekend.

Thank you to The Range for their incredible support. Whether you needed a last-minute item or just wanted to treat yourself, they have it all covered.

Hawkstone VMXdN 2026
August 27th - 30th

It’s going to be legendary. And The Range and the CDS Group will be right there with us every step of the way.
