Meole Brace Golf Course is looking for 2 x Casual Greenkeepers to help maintain and present one of Shropshire’s most popular golf courses.
Duties include course preparation, mowing, bunker maintenance and general grounds care. Experience is welcome but not essential – enthusiasm, reliability and a strong work ethic are what matter most.

Great to see our brilliant little course making progress in regaining its former glory, excited for the further planned improvements and a notable improvement since Council took full control of both management and maintenance of the golf course ⛳️👏

A dedicated team of volunteers has successfully renovated seven bunkers at Meole Brace Golf Course in Shrewsbury, transforming them from weed-infested and uneven hazards into well-presented and fully playable features.

The work involved clearing vegetation, removing stones, reshaping bunker edges, levelling and raking sand to improve both the appearance and playability of the course.

A Massive Thank You to our group of volunteers would turned up last night to complete the renovation of our final bunkers in phase 1 of this project. You all worked extremely hard and did an amazing job. thank you ☺️

✅ 7 Bunkers have now been renovated by the volunteers who have kindly given up their time and worked extremely hard and the results are fantastic 😊

✅ Alongside their commitment and Shropshire Councils investment, the bunker improvements continue next week with improvements made to the remaining 19 bunkers.

✅ This marks important steps in enhancing the quantity & resilience of the course.
Together these improvements will ensure we continue to provide an improved experience for golfers now and into the future. ⛳️

✅ We will have some hand tools available, but please feel free to bring your own if you have them 🪏

Tomorrow our team will be holding an end of season presentation evening, it’s definitely been a season to remember and we are all looking forward to the evening.
We will be holding a Raffle with some great prizes included to raise money to help go towards the teams running costs. 🎟️🎁
