Shropshire Shufflers

04/10/2026

From the Shrewsbury Half Marathon and Metric Half Marathon last weekend to the Night of the 5K PB’s on Thursday to the North Wales Cross Country event yesterday, the Shufflers have had a busy week! ❤️🤍💙

Here is our brilliant team of cross country runners as they competed in the first fixture of the season on a gloriously sunny morning in St Asaph.

Well done everyone 👏👏👏

Over 70 runners took part in our Night of the 5K PB’s last night including Shufflers as well as runners from Hartshill Runners Wrekin Road Runners Shrewsbury Athletic Club, Donnington Runners, Pontesbury Runners and Oswestry Olympians.

After completing 12 1/2 laps of track and working up an appetite, there were plenty of cakes and sausage rolls to tempt our runners.

A fantastic event and we’re proud to have raised nearly £800 from the evening for our chosen Charity of the Year, Severn Hospice.

Well done to everyone involved, organisers, volunteers, supporters, pacers and runners 👏👏👏

Comment and let us know what you thought of the event and if you got a PB 💪🏻

An amazing event, brilliantly supported all around our beautiful town. Shrewsbury, you did us proud! 👏 👏 👏

Our cross country training sessions continue throughout September as the team prepares for the first event on Saturday 3rd October at St Asaph.
