Standing proudly on the first and final bend of the course is
Hercules, who has been watching over runners in The Quarry since 1881.
For almost 150 years, he's been silently cheering on generations of Shrewsbury runners as they pass by. This year, he'll be there to welcome you onto the course and encourage you on that final turn towards the finish line.
As the legendary symbol of strength, there's no better marshal to have by your side on race day. And remember, every runner has a little bit of Hercules in them. 💪

🚗Thank you to Greenhous Group which is supporting us by providing a fully electric Nissan ARIYA to assist our Volunteer Driver Service, an initiative designed to improve patient experience.
The Volunteer Driver Service plays a vital role in helping our patients. From ensuring individuals can return home safely and efficiently after their hospital stay to offering those receiving treatments on a regular basis, such as dialysis or other life-extending treatments, a means to get to and from the hospital safely and easily.
By loaning the vehicle for the next year, Greenhous will make a real difference to the volunteer driver service.

Kirstie Thomas will tackle a 10k and Half Marathon run in support of Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Charity
Kirstie, a member of the SaTH recruitment team, is lacing up her running shoes for not one, but two challenging races this year to raise vital funds for a new critical care and oncology garden
Kirstie will take on the Wace Morgan Shrewsbury 5k & 10k on Sunday 5th July, followed by the SThe Shrewsbury Half Marathon on Sunday 27th September, all in aid of The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital's new therapeutic garden project.
The garden will provide a peaceful outdoor space for patients receiving critical care and oncology treatment, as well as their families and the dedicated staff who care for them.
"I'm not very good at running," Kirstie admits with modesty, "so please show your support by donating."
The funds raised will go directly to Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital Charity, which supports the hospitals to purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment, enhance patient experience and comfort and fund vital medical research. The charity's dedicated funds enable supporters to direct their donations to specific areas or services within the hospitals that are close to their hearts.
