We're a BMC affiliated Club based in Shropshire, with regular meets in Wales, The Lakes, Scotland, and Internationally.
A Shrewsbury based Mountaineering Club with over 100 members. We're out and about throughout the world, but walk and climb regularly
in the UK on a weekly basis.

It is a while since anyone posted photos showing what we have been up to…..a damp week in Killarney in May and a scorcher in the Picos de Europa at the end of June/ early July. As well as going abroad we have been to Derbyshire to sample gritstone and Pembrokeshire for the limestone at St Govan’s I will leave you to decide which photo is which location!

Last weekend was when 14 club members carried out some maintenance on our hut, Clwt y Bel, which is near Deiniolen. One job was to replace some rusty bolts on the common room roof…….and Chris spent a whole day ‘frying’ in the best weather day of the year so far. Maintenance is only carried out on the Saturday so on Sunday some took advantage of the weather to head for Atlantic slabs and some to Ogwen.
The hut sleeps 18 and can be booked by like minded groups…check it out on our website www.shrewsburymc.com
