Well, this weekend if it rained it poured… LITERALLY 💧☔️… in all sense of the word.

This year was just not our year! BUT one thing we can be thankful for is the great team we had around us. This year tested us to the limit, if the stress of getting everything ready & prepared was not enough the events that unfolded over the weekend were enough to make most pack up & go home 🏠

At 4.30am Friday morning both of our huge awnings were blown into the valley in those high winds despite being heavily strapped down so the team were all hands on deck trying to salvage these huge & heavy awnings back up to the top! To say they were scrap was an understand! So a trip in the opposite direction to get some new awnings was much needed.

Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side Saturday either, quite rightly the VMXDN organisers announced there would be no racing in the interest of safety. This gave our team the time to catch up on sleep & extra prep for Sunday

And it didn’t stop there! Sunday tested us to the limit also. Both bikes unfortunately were not able to finish practise. We decided to use parts from both bikes to make one good.

So despite everyone’s best efforts, this year was not in our favour, but no matter what the outcome we honestly couldn’t have had a better team around us & for that we are immensely grateful.

We’d like to thank everyone who came to support us without you all the weekend would not be possible.

Rob Hooper, we simply cannot thank you enough for every minute & hour you have put into the Suzuki’s to get them looking & running as amazing as they do! We would not have even entered this team if it was not for you & for that we are immensely grateful for the opportunity. Your wealth of knowledge on the machines is second to none & there’s no-one else we’d rather run these machines along side of!
Cheryl Hooper, well… where do we start, just everything you do, for being mum, for all your extra thought & detail and most of all making sure Rob came along too!
Adam & Lauren, your absolutely invaluable help, the behind the scenes help, bringing much needed equipment, dragging awnings out of the valley, we couldn’t be without you either.

Our riders, Sam Nunn- What a legend, you smashed your racing this weekend!
Thomas Covington- For coming all the way from the USA to be with us, for turning up & being ready to ride no matter what the weather!
Elliott Banks-Browne - For stepping in last minute to fill the space so we could continue with the team race.

And there are so many others that have pitched in & helped us over the weekend too! Roger Moses, Alfie Owen, Mitch Cooper & anyone else we have missed, you all pitched in despite being spectators just to help we have some great friends around us! Thank you!

We walk away with our heads held high knowing we faced what felt like the worst weekend we’ve ever endured BUT despite it all we did not give up! And that is all down to TEAMWORK!
