At LHP, we usually start with the feet. Not because they’re the problem—but because they're doing a lot, all day. Adjusting, supporting, taking your weight. And over time they can become a bit less responsive, not moving quite as easily as they could. So other parts of the body step in a little more. Help out. Take on a bit of the load. Which is often where things start to feel tight, or a bit stuck.

This is just a simple place to begin - release your feet. Nothing big. Just seeing what changes, when the feet move a bit more freely 🤍

Founded in 2015, Lauren Hilton Pilates is a fully equipped Pilates studio in Shrewsbury.

Our work is rooted in a holistic approach using Joseph Pilates’ original apparatus, supporting women in mid-life with movement that strengthens the body while gently nourishing the nervous system.

It’s a time of huge change — physically, emotionally and mentally, so we designed this Pregnancy Pilates Workshop to offer you space, support and gentle guidance as your body adapts and grows.

Supporting your Pregnancy with Strength & Ease

Sunday 1st February 9am-12pm at Lauren Hilton Pilates studio, Shrewsbury.

Suitable for all trimesters, with no previous Pilates experience needed. You’ll be supported to move at your own pace, rest when needed, and truly listen to your body — all within a calm, welcoming space.

Through mindful Pilates movement, breathwork, and guided reflection, we’ll explore:

• Letting go of tension, habits, and patterns that hold you back
• Reconnecting to your body with presence and purpose
• Moving intentionally toward strength, balance, and ease
• Setting embodied intentions to carry into 2026

What to expect:
~ A rebalancing mat class to gently reconnect and rejuvenate your body after the festivities (55 mins)

Hey 👋🏻 I’m Lauren
I wanted to share a little of the ethos we carry at Lauren Hilton Pilates .

Pilates brings with it so many benefits, we’ll definitely get stronger, more flexible, improve balance and coordination but can we do this from a place of ease within ourselves.

The mindful part comes from giving ourselves a little time before we move to notice the baseline of our body, we can ask ourselves any questions;

Do I feel tight, am in pain, did I have a rubbish night sleep that’s left me feeling wiped out….

By taking a few moments to give ourselves time to have a check-in we slowly begin to tune into our inner world.

This is one of wonderful benefits that Pilates can bring, we notice tension at the start of the session and at the end we feel the shift. We feel bloody exhausted because the kids were up 3 times in the night but at the end we feel a quiet sort of calm that leaves us feeling better.

Mindful movement can mean whatever you’d like it to mean, to us it’s those precious moments we’ve given ourselves to come to a class or 1:1 to honour what’s there, to move, to then feel what might have shifted at the end.

I found my way to teaching Pilates after it helped me heal a back injury over 18 years ago—BUT OH WOW WAS IT SO MUCH MORE!

Becoming a Pilates teacher has brought me an unwavering sense of inner strength and calm that has changed everything in my life.

Ever since, I’ve been passionate about sharing that experience with others.
