The Villagers 3 vs Rochester City 3
(Villagers win 3-1 on Penalties)

An entertaining cup fixture saw us 1-0 down at HT, to then go 2-0 down early in the 2nd half, we then pulled one back and equalised 5 minutes later to make it 2-2, our opponents then went 3-2 up but again we equalised to make it 3-3 and that was the score after 90 minutes. The game then went to penalties with our GK saving the first 2 Rochester pens and us scoring ours, we then missed our next one and the fourth one, they then hit the bar with there 4th penalty which meant the villagers won the shootout 3-1 and onto the next round.

The Villagers 6 vs Canterbury City 2

Cup action today saw the villagers progress to Round 2 after today’s result, although it took extra time to get the result after it was level at 2-2 after 90 minutes, a really competitive game and chances at both ends, with the visitors keeper the busiest and he made a number of outstanding saves to keep his side in the game, but eventually the villagers won through.

The Villagers 0 vs Woodnesborough 2

We come away without the points after this defeat, a tough game in difficult conditions made worse by losing our skipper early in the 1st half to a nasty gash just below his eye from a blatant elbow which the referee failed to see.
We had chances during the game but never took them and come away empty handed.

The Villagers 3 vs Dover Rangers 1

The villagers pick up there 1st win of the new season with a great performance over the unbeaten league leaders, after Tuesday night’s disappointing result the boys turned on a much better performance, we dominated from the start and went in 2-0 up at HT.
2nd half we started well again and a couple of missed chances, our opponents then scored to make it 2-1 but with the defence coping with an onslaught we then sealed the victory with a 3rd goal.
Great team performance and throughly deserved.

Another home game for the villagers today, looking to bounce back after 1st game disappointment.

The Villagers 2 vs FC Anchorians 3

Unfortunately we suffer a loss in our first league game of the season, we missed chances, hit the bar twice in the first half and found ourselves 1-0 down against the run of play, we equalised to go in 1-1 at half time, we also had our keeper sent off after 30 mins after a verbal exchange, so that made things difficult. 2nd half we came out and continued to press but again found ourselves 2-1 down and then with 10 minutes to go we equalised again with a great free kick to make it 2-2, only for our opponents to go and get a winner in injury time.
