An outstanding performance today from the boys! Amazing what a huge difference makes in a week! Last week we didn't want to give out a man of the match, today we could of gave it to everyone! The passing was much better, the finishing was precise, the strength & desire to win the ball back & keep possession was the best iv seen & the togetherness as a team is what makes this team so special!

Coach george man of the match - theo! Excellent in all areas of the pitch today. More confidence showing with his strength & willingness to get to the ball 1st. Got himself a hat trick for his just rewards! Apparently his 1st ever hat trick & he could of had 1 or 2 more

JAXON - Great to have our number one keeper back between the posts this week! Jaxon made some unbelievable saves today to keep us in the game and took on instructions from the coaches at every point today. Started to mix up his game from playing out the back and going long when needed to do so. Keep up the good work Mr Safe Hands 👌🙌⚽️✨️

Burscough milan 2

Just not our day today at the start of the summer league! We were all over the place! Gifted burscough milan 2 goals in the 1st half! Fair play to george & louie for stepping up going in goal a half each with our goal keeper away on holiday! Was a scappy game at times, with a few injuies for either team! Referees performance didnt help, but again they are only learning themselves! We keep going, keep our heads up & dont quit & go again! 👍⚽️

Coach george man of the match - louie! Werent going to give any man of the matches out today to be fair with that performance, but louie actually had a decent game. Was good outfield, put in the effort & battled throughout the 1st half & volunteering to go in goal in the 2nd half & made some decent saves to keep it at 2-0! 👏⚽️

Coach darren man of the match - Tom! Showed great spirit and fight in today's first game of the summer league. He gave his all at every opportunity and was unlucky not to score ⚽️👏

Coach george trainer of the week - theo! His 1st training session with the team & was brilliant in every department! Listened, understood & performed in my 1 to 1s! Understands the concept of the word "team" that were maintaining throughout each week! Stays positive, doesnt get frustrated & continues to concentrate throughout the training session! 👍👏⚽️

Coach darren trainer of the week - tom! Showed great composure and dedication this week in a much more intense training session. Always steps up and listens carefully while helping his team mates when required. Tom is a fantastic attribute to Skem Youth! Keep up the good work and most of all keep improving week by week. Well done. 💪👍⚽️✨️

Just werent our day today. Different team to what we were on thursday. But again like iv said, it doesnt always happen every game! We were always 2nd best from the get go & fair play to burscough milan who wanted it more! Going 2-0 up, to letting it slip through out the game! Alot to work on in training ready for the up coming summer league that starts next sunday 👍💪⚽️

Coach george man of the match - brook! Was solid in defence & carried on playing through an injury he recieved at the beginning of the game. Getting much better with his defensive game

Coach darren man of the match - George! Good on the wing today & fought for every ball, showing more of his aggressive & physical side. Slotting away a good penalty at the end!

Tomorrow marks the last game & last day of our skem youth team being u8s! They officially go to u9s as of monday 1st june!

I cant say enough words to describe this team since starting in January! They have been brilliant throughout. Each training session & each match they have gotten better within themselves individually & as a team, week in & week out! No moaning, no complaining, they've just got on with it!

This has been the happiest few months of coaching iv ever had. More than what I was coaching from the clay brow boca team that I went through for over 2 years!

And the month of may especially, winning 2 tournaments & 2 trophies within a month & these guys only being together as a team for only 4 months is just out of this world! I couldn't be any happier as their coach & so proud of them!

And just on another note, the parents have been so supportive & dedicated & the best iv worked with & got of with! Its been a privilege to know you all & its been a laugh. May us have many more good times together!

Darren Hann , you say your only my assistant coach, but your not. We are equals in this & iv always said that from the start! Iv had my fair share of good assistant coaches & people running teams with me, but your the best of the lot. Through good times & bad times, your always there. From the phone calls & messages everyday nearly, your always there! Couldn't of asked for a better person to run the team with!

May it continue into u9s & many years after! UP THE YOUTH!!! 👍⚽️🙏💪👌😁

Good game tonight between skem youth u8s & u9s, a good battle that saw the u8s come out 4-2 winners. But it werent about the scoreline, it was about the u8s handling themselves against a year up & they handled themselves brilliantly! The passing play was outstanding, the teamwork & togetherness amongst them. Bringing out the physical side of the team, not giving a care in the world how big the opposition was to them. That didnt stop them from getting stuck in. A big thank you to and his u9s team for giving us a game tonight!

Coach george man of the match - isaac bud! Was brilliant all over the pitch, being put in different positions throughout the game. Hes the 1st to play in our new defensive midfield position & made it his own. Scored a cracking goal from his own half to cap off a brilliant performance 👏 👌 ⚽️

Coach darren man of the match - theo! New player who came down to try out for our team and settled in right from the start. Great feet,good on the ball, passing the ball about. Playing like hes been on the team for ages. Scoring twice of his debut! A really good addition to the team! Welcome!👏⚽️👌

Fc Kirkby bayern 3

Took the kids to play a friendly in kirkby thursday evening instead of a training session. Played in a 7v7 friendly & didn't deserve to lose that game, yet alone it being 3-0! The kids were brilliant, everyone of them & ran themselves into the ground in that humid weather, playing 7 aside on a huge 9 aside pitch, with no subs & playing different rules to what their use to. Could of & should of got a few goals ourselves, for it their goal keeper played a blinder. Our kids kept up with the speed & pace of the game on that huge pitch. Great strength, alot of passing, alot of grit, spirit & heart played out from everyone tonight. Not to mention the most iv ever seen them talking, shouting, communicating to each other throughout the game. Honestly we could of gave the man of the match to everyone. Was so hard for me & darren to decide.

I was so happy & thrilled to also see the more physical side of them. As the game went on, the other team were getting more physical & dirty with their tackles, but alls that did was bring out the fight & more physical side to us which i loved to see.

You wouldnt of thought we all came off that pitch feeling happy & proud when losing 3-0! It was all because of their performance that was the real result! 💪👏⚽️

man of the match - isaac! An absolute rock at the back all game. Positioned himself well & communicated with others all through the game. Came up against players taller than him, only for him to get the better of them each and everytime, putting his body on the line. A captains performance from him! 👍⚽️👏
