As previously mentioned there are a few of the current NORC committee that have to stand down this year. This has left a few very important openings on the committee that **NEED** to be filled for the club to function going forward (& By Function I Mean Exist!)

The positions that **MUST** be filled are as follows:

Committee members are expected to attend the pre & post event committee meetings as often as possible in order to discuss events planning & de-brief, & to add valued input.for any raised issues & resolutions, in order to ensure smooth running of the club.
Whilst these positions may look or feel daunting to some, do not fear as the current & previous committee will still be around to give guidance & assistance.
It is of the utmost importance that we fill these positions! & would highly appreciate some new fresh thinking committee members to keep driving the club forward. Without these positions filled the club cannot operate!
If you wish to put yourself forward for any committee positions, please contact a current committee member &/or attend the AGM this Friday evening.
We hope to officially fill these positions at the Club AGM this Friday 5th of December at The Old Glen House, Prod Lane, Baildon, Shipley BD17 5BN. Meeting starts at 8pm.

****Important Longwinded Post****
Please read & take heed!
2025 has been a great season for the Northern Off Road Club. With the help of its members, competitors, marshals, sponsors & committee it has been placed in the best position it has been in for quite some time. With a promising 2026 calendar (that we are still waiting for MUK to sign permits off on before we can release) & with healthy financials to maintain equipment & support events.
However the unfortunate circumstances of life has meant that there are a few of the current committee that have to stand down imminently. This has left a few very important openings on the committee that **NEED** to be filled for the club to function going forward (& By Function I Mean Exist!)
Unfortunately Anthony is standing down as Club Chairman. Luke is standing down as Land Investigator / Season Co-Ordinator, Ben is standing down as Wagon Officer, Bev as Child Protection Officer, & there are also other positions that still need filling / have been left open for the last few years, resulting in additional load on the current standing committee members.
There have been some recent volunteers step forward to replace Luke as Land Investigator & Ben as Wagon Officer, though if you wish to put yourself forward to help in any way then please feel free.
The positions that **MUST** be filled are as follows:
Chair:
To ensure that the Club, Committee & Events run smoothly & within the required parameters of the Motorsport Governing Body. Preside over committee meetings & sign off on final decisions made by the committee on behalf of the club & members.
Vice-Chair:
To aid the Chair & support the committee members. Assist with running of the club & ensure that relevant tasks have been carried out by the committee for upcoming events.
Sponsorship Secretary:
To contact & liaise with current & potential club, championship, & events sponsors & arrange invoices for sponsorship. Liaise with clubs Sticker & Banner manufacturer for relevant event & club promotional materials.
Events Co-ordinator:
To organize hire of event Toilets, booking of event Catering, Meetings & Dinner Dance.
Social Media Content Creator;
To maintain & update the clubs Facebook, Instagram & TikTok accounts with Posts & Reels of Club Info, Sponsors Related Content, Events Info, Events Photos & Videos.
Child Protection Officer:
Must be present at all events to ensure the safety of Children & that any attending Media have completed the MUK Media forms in line with MUK Guidelines.
Committee members are asked to attend the pre & post event committee meetings as often as possible in order to discuss events planning & de-brief, & to add valued input.for any raised issues & resolutions, in order to ensure smooth running of the club.
If you wish to put yourself forward for any committee positions, please contact a current committee member or email your interest to: [email protected]
We hope to officially fill these positions at the Club AGM at 8pm on Friday 5th of December 2025 at Old Glen House Prod Ln, Baildon, Shipley BD17 5BN
The Club Requests that ALL Competitors, Marshals & Club Members make the effort to attend the AGM. It would be greatly appreciated as your opinions & votes matter, & shape the club for the future.
There is lots to be discussed at this year’s AGM with possible big changes for the 2027 season that will need actioning before the 2026 AGM. So if you weren’t there to vote don’t moan if the changes take effect!
If you have any ideas or input that you feel will benefit the club & its members then please put them forward for discussion at the AGM. Any suggestions must be Emailed to Rita at:
[email protected]
by the closing date of 25/11/2025 in order to be added to the agenda.
If it isn’t on the meeting agenda then it cannot be acted upon at the meeting!
Sorry for the long winded post, but as the clubs Member Liaison I often hear gripes from people that I feel would be better highlighted & discussed at an AGM with the Committee & other members present. So I am personally asking please make an effort to show up at the AGM & support your club & its future!
Remember it’s your club so it needs you!
Hope to see you all at the AGM
