Fred has taken on the coaching responsibilities for the U11s this year, and the impact he has made, alongside Fiona and Ian, has been clear for everyone to see. Their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment have helped create a fantastic environment for the players to develop and thrive.

With such a talented group of young players coming through, the future looks bright. We look forward to watching many of them progress into the senior teams over the next 5 years and beyond.

As pub locations go, they don’t come better than the Queens Arms at Litton in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The five-mile detour off the busy main Grassington to Kettlewell Road is well worth it for the stunning scenery and heartening hospitality at the quaint 17th- century inn. In 2012 the pub found itself under local ownership and an extensive but tasteful refurbishment took our beautiful white washed pub back to its former glory.

A mixed bag for the Rams in Round 9.

The 1st XI extended their unbeaten run with a hard-fought victory in a low-scoring contest against Birstwith, while the 2nd XI came up just short in a game of two halves, losing wickets at crucial moments that ultimately proved costly.

Both sides remain firmly in the hunt, with the 1st XI sitting just seven points off top spot and the 2nd XI only four points behind as we approach the halfway stage of the season.

Plenty of positives to build on and lessons to take into next week.
