An amazing choreographer and champion of dance in the north of England, this is such sad news. 🤍

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Phil Winston, a much-loved and long-standing member of the IDTA community.

Phil was a Past President of the Association, as well as a highly respected Director Emeritus and Examiner. His contribution to the organisation and to the wider world of dance was exceptional, and he will be remembered with great admiration and affection. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

🩳 Wear shorts not tights, and bare feet are fine if you want to ditch the ballet shoes. Hair up to keep neck cool.
🥤 ALWAYS bring your water bottle
🧊 Cold, filtered drinking water always available for refilling bottles, from coolers in changing room and studio one
❄️ Studio One and Changing Room are air-conditioned and beautifully cool, and Studio Two has fans.
☺️ Teachers will give children more water breaks and rest periods, and they are informed and experienced in the correct procedures for children with heat exhaustion.
