Friendly & inclusive Pilates & Seated Fitness classes for all ages, both men & women in the Sleaford All classes are pay as you go £6 for an hour long class.

Monday 9:30am live Zoom class (also recorded to be completed at your convenience)
Monday 2pm Gentle (Seated) Fitness Folkingham Village Hall
Tuesday 9:30am and 11am Billingborough Village Hall
Tuesday 7pm Osbournby Village Hall
Thursday 9:30am Pointon Village Hall
Thursday 7pm Osbournby Village Hall
All classes must be pre booked and minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation. Your first class with me will be a free taster class.

Warmer weather is coming so I thought that I would remind you all please don't worry, when it gets Warmer We Move Slower in Pilates. Our Strength builds with Slow and Controlled movements. Warmer weather can help us to work on our Mobility and Flexibility. Come and get stronger with me and relax and release any tension that you might be holding onto. Anyone Else Feel like this?! It doesn't matter how I feel when I start doing Pilates, I know that by the time I Finish I will Feel so Much Better. My body will move and feel better, my mind will be quieter and calmer and I will feel ready for the rest of the day. If this sounds like something you need in your life please get in touch!

In Pilates we focus on Strengthening our Deep Core muscles. Your Deep Core is a group of 4 muscles which are a little like a cylinder in shape. Your Diaphragm is at the top, your Pelvic Floor is at the bottom, down your back around your spine is your Multifidus and across your front is your Tranverse Abdominus which lies deeper than your more superficial Re**us Abdominus (your 6 pack muscles) that people often think of. The four muscles work together to support you as you move, twist and reach out for things. This is why we focus on strengthening all 4 sides of your body in Pilates to help support your Powerhouse - your 4 Deep Core muscles. We want to be Fit for Everyday Life as we move so that we don't injure ourselves. Come and strengthen your Deep Core with me!

We have Worked Hard this week in Pilates getting Stronger and More Mobile Together! I love seeing my Class Members making Progress and Feeling Stronger. We focus on Progress not Perfection and recognise that Everyone is an individual who works at their own pace. I look forward to seeing you again Next week!

"Pilates is the Highlight of My Week" and "Pilates is the the Only Thing that I do for Myself" are two phrases that I often hear from my class members. Pilates is so much more than an hour of exercise to so many people. It is an hour in which you can breathe, you can relax and stretch away from the busyness of everyday life. You can chat to others or take time to be silent. The benefits to your mental wellbeing are as important as your physical wellbeing. I am honoured if you choose to spend that hour with me and will always give you space to do what works for you.

March is a great month as it has 31 days which gives us 31 opportunities to do Pilates! You can join me on a live zoom class, do a class recording, join an in person class (seated or mat based) or you can choose from a shorter pre recorded selection. Movement is medicine for your body so celebrate the days getting lighter, brighter and warmer by doing Pilates with me!

This Valentine's Day practise some Self Love and Self Care by Prioritising Your Sleep and Trying to Reduce Your Stress. Eat Nourishing Foods that will Decrease Your Inflammation such as fruit and vegetables, wholegrains, pulses, nuts and seeds. Move Your Body Daily - go for a walk, a run, a bike ride. Strengthen Your Body with regular Pilates Practice to keep you fit for everyday life. Pilates can also help to improve uour sleep and reduce your stress. Happy Valentine's Day to you all!

So often we think I will Start in the New Year, on Monday or at the Start of a New Month .... and then we don't. We can procrastinate and think of so many reasons not to do something. Instead focus on Your Why. Why do You want to start exercising? This could be because you are getting aches and pains, you can see others around you with deteriorating health and think I want to be different, you have read about the importance of exercise on social media or you just want to get out and meet new people. Quote of the week: " I left class with a Feeling of Contentment". I often talk about Pilates being fantastic for our physical health and longevity. A class member this week perfectly summed up the Positive Impact on our Mental Health by describing leaving one of my classes with a Feeling of Contentment that she rarely feels. Pilates calms your mind, tunes you into the good diaphragmatic breath that we practise in every class and focuses you on staying present in the moment forgetting about everything else for that one hour.
