The evolution of the dumbbell area

Currently custom made stainless steel 2.5kg to 70kg and a second set of 2.5 to 25kg. Additionally, a set of hex and chrome at the front of the gym.

Middle photo was our last dumbbells - set of 2.5kg to 60kg custom rubber dumbbells. Great when new but had seen better days by the time we replaced them. Bought in 2020 they had a good run.

Last picture shows not only the dross we bought from previous ownership but also how the gym was maintained in 2014. Not only were they poor quality there was also no structure and order to the place.

We are aware our internal turnstile has developed a mind of its own and now decides when it wants to work or not work. Despite attempts to repair it it’s a little worn and past that so we’ve made the decision to replace it.

We’ve booked with Ashbourne to remove the current turnstile and replace it with a second keypad (like the external one) mounted by the vending machines on the wall with a push to exit the opposite side. Exactly the same as our Ruskington site for those who’ve been there.

We kindly ask that all members use there pin separately even when coming into the gym in groups due to health & safety, fire regulations and to ensure memberships are up to date. We will also be incorporating random membership checks so Plesee don’t think this is an opportunity to use your mates membership - it won’t work and those sharing will be banned for life.

Anyway, in the mean time if you find you’re stuck at the turnstiles (providing your memberships up to date) you have our permission to slide under/over until the new install.

That Red Bull fridge is looking on point full of sugar free choices including brand new flavour Pistachio & Berries.

Monster fridge is also filled up and we’ve managed to get our hands on the viral Ultra Vice Guava.

ABE Cans have also had a top up and we’ve restocked popular flavours including Orange burst, Cloudy Lemonade and Energy Flavour.

All available during our staffed hours; weekdays 0800-2000 and Saturdays 0900-1200.

Brand new cable fitted Tuesday with no downtime.

It’s very rare a machine is out of order here and when it is it’s even rarer to be unusable for more than a few days 👏
