Fitness Quote-

For me fitness is not about losing weight at the minute I workout because of how it makes me feel. After a long day a gym session or a Zumba class is the last thing I want to do. however, after dragging myself there and doing my workout I always leave feeling 100% better. my motivation is high, Endorphins have kicked in and I leave with a smile on my face. Why? Because exercise makes you happy. And this for me is far more beneficial than losing weight etc. so when setting yourself goals in the gym, have a hard think about what it is that will actually benefit you.

Thursday Motivation

Hey all, Let’s talk about Bodies.

We all struggle with the way we look from time to time. These two pictures were taken pretty much year apart. To most I would look very much the same. I however see two very different people.

In the first picture I was under confident in my skin as I hadn’t exercised properly In a while and I wasn’t eating tremendously healthily. The second picture I am a different person. This Mary looks after herself. Eats reasonably well and exercises 5 days a week to the extreme.

However, neither picture is the definition of health. What is most important is how YOU feel in your skin.

I love to have a good Saturday night out with my friends partying which normally leads to kebabs and a hungover McDonald’s the next day. This is totally fine if you complete it with a balanced healthy eating week and exercise. Life is about balance and this is different for everyone. Nobodies bodies will ever look the same and there is no point comparing. What works for someone may not work for you.

What I am trying to say is. The two pictures are not worlds apart in the shape of my figure however I felt totally different and it comes down to accepting that the way you are is fine and if you look after yourself you will feel more comfortable in your skin.

I may be travelling South East Asia for the next three months. But that won’t stop me working out whilst I am here.

This morning I went to the gym in the hotel which may I add was beautiful with the best views! However, the 28* heat is not the one. Despite that, research says that muscles work best at hot temperatures. When muscles get cold, the force they can produce decreases. You are also more likely to get injured in the cold.

Here I am doing some squats on the squat rack. I am far from perfect so any tips are more than welcome!
