Burnham Football Club has recently been approached and asked to share the following information targeting knife crime. Many of our players across all our age groups are young adults facing similar challenges. Please help by sharing the following:

Young people from High Wycombe have created a powerful new track titled Redirect, created through a collaboration between Wycombe Youth Action and Love Music Hate Violence. The project uses music to confront the realities of knife crime and promote positive choices among their peers.

Redirect is a raw and honest reflection of the pressures, fears, and consequences surrounding youth violence. Blending contemporary urban production with direct, youth-led lyricism, thetrack delivers a message designed to resonate peer-to-peer not as a lecture, but as a conversation.

Every lyric was written and performed by the young people involved, drawing on lived experience and real discussions taking place within their community.

“This track is about stopping and thinking before it’s too late,” said one project participant. “We wanted it to come from us, not adults telling us what to do.”The track was produced in collaboration with Love Music Hate Violence, an organisation
nationally recognised for using music as a tool for social change. Musician & Producer Stevoss supported the young people throughout the recording process,helping translate their ideas into a professional-quality release while keeping creative control
firmly in their hands.

Redirect is accompanied by a striking music video filmed in High Wycombe which will be released during Easter, grounding the project in its local community while addressing an issue of National concern.

The track will be available across all major digital platforms from February 2026.
