just found this info about some of the timber i have been using for skittle balls.
The largest tree in Brazil is an angelim-vermelho, measuring 88.5 meters (290 feet) tall, located in the Paru State Forest (Flota) in Pará. Considered the largest in Latin America and the fourth largest in the world, the giant tree is between 400 and 600 years old and is an important symbol of Amazonian biodiversity. Several reliable sources confirm this.

RETIREMENT HAS FINALY COME...
after years of service the time has come to retire this little beauty at last.
for about 12 years my original Presto cutter has turned every single one of your wooden balls, that's just under 1000 balls since i built the jig.
lets mark the occasion by giving it some thanks for all its hard work...
it's rock hard Cobalt Steel and has gone from 200mm down to 110mm and is now too short so i bought a replacement.
